PROFILE
Camella Alvenia, better known as the Blade Alchemist, is the resident alchemist and a soldier stationed in the northern fortress of Briggs. She's a studious alchemist often found trying to invent new ways to use her own alchemy, especially in ways to counter long ranged alchemy, and enjoys tinkering with new mechanical contraptions.
PERSONALITY
- Camella may come off as rude or standoffish when somebody first meets her. She finds that idle chit-chat is a nuisance keeping her from her work and unless she knows the person as being someone she's built respect for, she'll keep conversations short.
- She's fairly serious when it comes to education on topics, if she doesn't know something she'll go out of her way to find her answers.
- She's the type to bear a grudge over some of the smallest things. It's why she originally didn't get along with her class rival, Kimblee in the Academy.
- After the war, her original more outward personality receded and a thick wall of emotional suppression was built. Despite the five year gap from when the war ended, the cold exterior still stands to ward off strangers.
APPEARANCE
- Blade wears her military uniform everywhere, depending on her location the uniform changes. Briggs gains the heavy coat, while areas like Ishval she removes the jacket altogether.
- She bears a small almost hidden scar upon her lip from a close call sparring in the Academy.
- Due to her time in Briggs not getting a lot of sun, her freckles are often faded away. Back in Ishval she had dark freckling upon most of her skin.

TRIVIA
Ishval took its toll on Camella's mental health for a few years. It took her a long while to rid herself of flinching upon seeing Major Miles around Briggs after Ishval. She still feels guilty about her initial reactions upon returning to the Fortress after the war.
After the events that lead her to commit Human Transmutation, she gained the ability to do alchemy without a circle, however, she still "uses" one to hide this fact.

Early Life Military Academy Ishval 1909-1915 After 1915
Early Life
As a young girl, Blade often found it amazing that the people around her could create new forms through what she originally believed to be "magic". As soon as she was old enough to learn the word alchemy and alchemist, Blade intensely worked to be able to recreate the "magic" she saw as a child. As she grew up, she specialized in the manipulation of metals, and often found work as a teen for automail shops around her home in Central. Once she was old enough and felt confident in herself she enrolled herself into the Military Academy to become a state alchemist.

TRIVIA
- Their relationship started off as a school rivalry between top ranking students, but the stresses of Ishval changed their dynamic multiple times over.
- Blade straight up hates his smug grin he does, which often threw off her groove during one on one spars.
- During the events of FMA:B, Blade never fully forgives Kimblee for what he did back in Ishval, though she did end up pitying him to some degree.

DYNAMIC
- Camella isn't too sure what to think of the automailer that everyone in town adores. From her time in the military, and dealing with Kimblee, she feels like there's something off about this man.
- Glen tries his best to be personable and often sends special attention her way whenever she comes into town from her forest home. He fears that she will figure him out.
- Upon having her children, Camella refuses to let the twins near Glen, but Glen insists on being friendly with the two of them, earning their trust in order to have leverage over their Mother just in case.
HISTORY
- Camella met Glen upon her sudden "retirement" after the events at Central happened. She had moved out to a small rustic home outside of town in order to get away from it all, and to eventually give birth to twins almost half a year later.
- While Camella was techincally retired she had heard the rumors of how dangerous this town seemed to be, with a stray and sloppy killer who hadn't been caught and enjoyed toying with their targets by taking limbs before taking their lives months later. She wanted to use her skills to try and catch this killer.
- Her investigations brought her to the automailer that supplied all the targets with their replacment limbs, Glen, to find out more about the wounds these people had. After talking with him for a bit, she began to develop her suspicions, especially with his abnormal knowledge of the details regarding the wounds.
TRIVIA
- Camella first believes Glen's super friendly attitude was him trying to flirt with a new single woman in town. However, having just recently dealt with loss, she rebuked him hard with a couple of flung knives.
- Glen eventually gets enough of a reputation with Camella's family that he's the one they ran to when she committed human transmutation.
- After injuring herself and having Glen save her, she's a lot more welcoming to him. She personally asked him to go with her to check if her transmutation was a success because frankly she wasn't too keen on having to face her failure by herself.

- Camella dotes on the twins, and are the reason she "retired" and moved out to the country side.
- Camella learned quickly that the twins seemed to have inherited both her and their father's intelligence. By the time they had reached school age they were seeking out information not avaliable at school (including her own alchemy notes).
- Worried they would accidentally hurt themselves in their pursuit of knowledge (much like a familiar alchemist duo) she made sure to ban her study unless she was there to teach them.
- It was rare that Camella would tell them the details about their father. She kept most of his gruesome facts to herself opting to tell them when they were older.
