SPECK

(( just a speck in the universe ))

Apparent Age: 18

Apparent Gender: Female

Preferred Pronouns: Feminine

Species: " human " / Magician

Sexuality: Demi-Sexual

Genre: Any ( AUs )

An Omniversal Traveler whose “magic” allows her to manipulate the laws of reality. Looking for excitement, sometimes at the expense of others.

She is as she says: Another Speck in this universe. However, what makes Speck special is that she can “cross” dimensional borders. This is, honestly, something of a lie.

Speck is actually a collection of specks and possibilities.

When she “enters” a near world, Speck splits off from her previous self. Each new Speck is aware of the fact that she is a split off. She cannot interact with the Specks who branched off on different paths from her own. The original Speck goes through the multiverse and picks up the pieces of herself once they’ve reached the end of their new life cycle. Not bound by time, the original Speck is aware of all her future splits and all of their lives, while her splits are restricted by forward-going time.

Speck is a “unique” OC (yes, I know, we all claim our OC to be super unique) in that she basically an acknowledged self-insert. She is an existence trapped in the Omniverse, where all time and space is visible to her infinity and endlessly. To soothe her boredom, Speck likes to “put her foot into other worlds,” so to speak. She lives and dies multiple lives, aware the whole time that she is part of a grander picture but unable to see past the world she occupies.

The most simple way to describe Speck is that she is a Magician, who can hack the boundaries of worlds and insert her “program” into them. Like a virus, Speck modifies her program to fit the rules of the world and go undetected for as long as possible. She will obey rules and play the game, knowing that if she acts like the ‘virus’ she is then the World will destroy her.

It is inevitable that the Specks forced into a world will be destroyed. The World will find a way to get rid of her, whether it is by giving her an incurable disease or letting rocks fall. It’s not something she lets herself dread too much. Once the Program dies, the Main Speck picks up the data and adds it to herself… then moves on to the next World.

Her Power is this fantastic ability to enter other worlds. She is generally bound by the rules of the World, though she can decide everything about her new Personas before entering. Once she has entered, that’s it. Speck cannot leave and come back. Once she dies in a World then she is gone forever, unable to visit its past or future. She can visit alternative timelines, yes, but cannot live two lifespans in the same timeline.

Similarly, if her Power breaks the norms of a World then she will be targeted and eliminated. This includes becoming “suspicious,” like having too many World-permitted powers or drawing attention to herself in other ways. Basically, when she starts giving herself “Mary Sue” powers, she gets eliminated. Speck will sometimes do this on purpose to destroy herself, or as a last ditch effort to make an impact.
