Qadrie Harlae is an eight sweep old alternian troll who, by all means, defitions, and probabilities, really shouldn't be alive. Not only are they a limeblood, have almost been killed by an old flame, and been through hell for someone else's amusement, but they're generally oblivious of any kind of danger they might have gone through.

Qadrie is a peculiar troll. They don't think normally- a response to their secular upbringing. They think much differently than normal trolls, every thought being visual and perhaps even roundabout, or tied up in strange knots other trolls might never understand. Deciphering what they mean is always a trial and half, but it's clear whatever is happening behind that wall of incommunicability is something magnificent.

Qadrie was spared in a northern brooding caverns by a signless-following jadeblood. Said jadeblood had quickly arranged for an appropriate lusus to take custody of the limeblooded wriggler. When Cranedad arrived, he scooped up his new child and vanished into the depths of the planet, not to be seen again to protect the child in their youth. He crafted a perfect, safe haven for Qadrie on a small island near the tropical line of the planet.

Their upbringing was almost idealistic. Their lusus fervently protected them, giving them everything they needed to thrive. Unfortunately, protecting Qadrie's health meant skipping out on their education. While they never learned to read, and never learned to properly count, they strangely found ways to work around all their lack of education. They took an interest in film, arts, and music, as well as fashion, and lived a sort of dramatic fantasy while they were alone. Eventually, they were abducted from their home and put through a series of puzzle-like trials in which others died off and they, by some stroke of luck, managed to survive.

After the events of Block Buster, Qadrie started to live a much more informative life. They began a simple education so they could read and do basic math, and learned about the history of the trollish culture. Backed by their moirail and their moirail's matesprite, they now are striving to acheive their dream of becoming a star.
