The deity of life and death, Thriale is probably the most distant deity from the average person's life; given the choice, which is more often than not, they tend to prefer to spend their days alone in their plane, simply watching over their duties as the deity of life cycles. They greet each creature who leaves the mortal plane, of course, and what a busy job it is, even for one capable of appearing merely as a projection, but beyond that, they tend to be rather detached from the afairs of mortals, and even the other deities with whom they share the pantheon.

An immortal being so deeply entrenched in the cycles of life and death, Thriale really has little frame of reference for how mortals view the world - Mortals experience sadness at deaths and joy at births, and a myriad of emotions between, but for Thriale, those are simply different pieces of existence with no inherent meaning one way or the other. They tend to come off as cold as a result; however, they do their best to show understanding and kindness despite this, and are arguably one of the more openly benevolent deities of their pantheon as a result.

On the rare occasion that they do descend from their plane, they rarely show themselves to others, preferring to simply spend their time alone, wandering whichever parts of the planet they've found themselves in to see how the world changes with time. They have a fondness for plant life, particularly quiet forests and meadows.

Though it's not often used, Thriale has the ability to interrupt the cycle of life and death, granting immortality and bringing death upon others when it would not normally occur - These powers are used most often at the request of their creator, to grant godhood upon a mortal who would fill a role within their world, or, should worst come to worst, to demote a deity from their rank and prevent them from causing harm to the universe they keep in place through the most drastic means necessary.

Trivia

  • Thriale was designed as part of errorsins's 3P-100 challenge - Their prompts were "A posy", "Flo Rida - Neverland - Body Bangers Edit", and "1b1725-534b62-a499b3-d0bcd5-226ce0".
  • Thriale's fondness for flowers has led to the creation of traditions involving flowers at the beginning and ending of one's life - Decorating birthplaces like hospitals with vases of flowers and bringing fresh bouquets to new parents are common ways to celebrate the bringing a new life into the world, while planting or leaving flowers at gravesites is meant to honor the dead and wish for the deity to grant them a pleasant rest after their departure.
