Buttercup is a yandere. She has 4 distinct different personalities or "forms", as physical changes often occur between them, mostly the eyes, claws, and additional details. The 4th form does not occur nearly as often as the other 3, and is very hard to trigger. Her normal personality has no recollection of what the others do, and has no knowledge of the dangerous potential of the others.

Despite this, she is eventually able to gain control over her personalities (for the most part) and maintain positive relationships with her friends.
