Therai is a mountain of a man, covered in scales and spikes. It makes for a terrifying image, not helped by how often he remains silent. As frightening as he may look, he is incredibly gentle. He has sworn himself to pacifism and seeks to overcome all conflict through words. When fights do break out, he acts as a shield, soaking up damage for his companions.

Those who get close to Therai find his appearance does nothing to match his nature. He is incredibly soft and affectionate. He loves to give hugs and carry people. When he talks with loved ones, it's often with them sitting in his lap.

Therai is a second generation teifling, descended from a great fiend who governs destruction to create change. His mother embraced this as a rebellion leader, and Therai was raised for this path. However, it hurt him to see all the pain both sides went through during the rebellion. Homes were destroyed, families were torn apart, and so many people died…

Amongst all this he saw the Followers of Eldath, tending to those in need and helping to foster change. Through their actions he saw a way to embrace his heritage without causing pain. He would support those who caused destruction, while serving the cause of change.

His family doesn't really understand his faith, but they support him. It's been hard though, as his pilgrimage has taken far from home. He hasn't seen his family in over a decade, but he writes home weekly.
