Flick is both an adorable sweetheart, and a completely feral gremlin. He's grown up completely feral, first living in the forests, and then moving to the city streets, without any guidance. As a result, despite being a sapient being, he's more like an animal. He has no concept of social expectations, laws, or even ownership. When he sees something he wants, he takes it. If someone stops him or takes something from him, then it's theirs.

Although Flick is prone to biting everyone, at least once, if you're able to get past the testing phase he's quite friendly. He often brings gifts of twigs andleaves to those he likes, and absolutely loves cuddles and scritches. He craves a parent without realizing it, causing him to latch on to anyone who will offer him guidance and patience.

Urchin City Secrets

Flick doesn't remember his parents. They died when he was just a baby, leaving him to fend for himself. He struggled to survive in the wilds until a chance encounter led to him accidentally stowing away on a cart. The city was overwhelming, with all the sounds and smells and sights. Food though, quickly won out over his fear, and soon Flick was making a life for himself scrounging for scraps.

Flick moved on from the random meat he found in trash cans to slipping food from vendor stalls, as well as the occassional piece of jewelry as a treat. Then he moved on from vendor stalls to pockets, followed by businesses. He got incredibly good at sneaking into places he wasn't meant to be, and taking what looked tasty.

No matter how good you are, you're going to get caught eventually. Flick was no exception. If he'd known more about society, or really anything at all, he might have realized he was sneaking into a magisters house. He probably wouldn't have realized how bad an idea that was though. Not until he got magically paralysed as soon as he touched the first shiny object he spotted.

Flick would have been punished severely, if a passing cleric by the name of Therai didn't speak on his behalf. Therai defended Flick's actions as those of an ignorant child, who needed to be taught, not punished. Eventually it was agreed upon that Flick would escape punishment, provided Therai take custody of the dracling and leave town immediately.
