Abenaki is a reaper-like character that lives in the ‘Limbo’ or the misty borderline between the underworld and the heavens. He guides the spirit of the deceased to their designated gate. His lantern’s light is one of the few things that can break through the Limbo’s thick fog, as well as the lantern of the other reapers that have the same job.

Abenaki is pretty much trapped, even if he doesn’t know it, and is unable to move on because of a regret that lives deep within his heart. He’s just a wondering spirit drifting through the outer areas of heaven and hell, but he himself is not able to personally step inside—Since he isn’t exactly a sinner…Nor innocent. The decision that he was about to make right when he died was going to determine that, but he never got the chance…and that is his regret.

He died at the age of 28, and was a member of the Iroquois, a native American tribe located westward along the Great Lakes and down both sides of the Allegheny mountains into present-day Virginia and Kentucky. Abenaki is a very quiet individual who rarely speaks. As one of the fighters in his tribe, he was trained to speak only when instructed, and discipline was engraved in his brain. But after his death, he slowly became careless and insensitive towards other people. He becomes annoyed very easily and his patience is 0 to none. Abenaki only cares about doing his job as a reaper, getting payed, and then heading to the bar—Since he can’t go anywhere, he sees his life as meaningless and can’t understand why he is still ‘alive.’ --typed by Mama-Coco
