Apricot

Lives in the same village as Hero. Because he's the Fairy Elder's grandson, he and Hero grew up together. When he was young, he had a timid personality, and was prone to anxiety. He admired Hero for his bold attitude. He loves to joke around, but sometimes takes things too far. Since he can never remain serious, adults consider him a troublemaker, and his peers think he's annoying. Although he likes sweets, he can't eat them because he has a bad stomach. He has a younger brother named Sage.

Modern AU:

Currently a third year, Arata attends a small high school in Osaka prefecture. He is in the school baseball team, where he has held the title of leader for two consecutive years. His specialty is batting, and he is considered by many to be one of the team's greatest assets. His energetic and friendly personality makes him easy to talk to. However, he has a tendency to get stressed easily, which can cause problems for the other members. In recent months, the chemistry between teammates has fallen, due to the change in dynamics after graduation. Arata struggles to continue putting on a strong front without his best friends there to support him, but is determined to do his best for the sake of the team. Closer friends and acquaintances from class and his club have nicknamed him 「トイレ姫」, which he has mixed feelings about.

Notable traits (for art!):

• Sanpaku (his iris is smaller and doesn't touch to the bottom of his eye, so in most expressions, some white shows!)
• His hair isn't naturally spiky, particularly in modern AUs where he uses hair products to style his hair. So in some situations, it can be drawn down or more relaxed!
• Despite his size (larger than most of his fellow fairies in canon, tall in modern), he has the energy of a puppy and is friendly towards everyone. He jokes around so much that most people know not to take him seriously. He loves praise; a single compliment can make his entire day. It is easy to embarrass or fluster him, as he is quite shy and clumsy in social situations. To this day he has not fully erased his social anxiety that developed during his childhood years, but copes by overcompensating for his timidity and being extra loud and obnoxious instead. Expressions and mannerisms that draw from these traits are encouraged!
