This is a nine tailed fox! He lived for a thousand years and gained the ninth tail he needed to ascend to the heavens, but once he did that, he became so prideful of his power that he flew back down to Earth to gloat about it! He showed it off to everyone he met, seeing himself as higher than them. One day, an old lady came along and asked if he could provide just some of his heavenly fur to keep her warm for the winter. He declined, finding it absurd that a mortal would even ask such a thing from someone as mighty as him! But what he didn’t know was that she was a powerful, virtuous witch that cursed him for using his godly power in vain! Until he demonstrated true acts of sympathy, he was to suffer with his tails wiggling worm on a string and his beautiful fox claws replaced with the wormy fluff.

He now lives stuck on Earth in solitude, grumbling at anyone that mistakes him for a seven tailed fox. He stopped trying to act nice years ago when he realized that faking kindness wouldn’t work to break the curse. He dreams of the day of him returning to his formal self, but as the seasons pass by, he’s lost hope.

His hood is wispy to resemble his ears in his true nine tails fox form. He switches to it on instinct if he locks eye contact with anyone, so he covers his eyes with a mask instead. He has an interest in seraphs and wishes to gain wings someday despite already being able to float around.

His fur is otherworldly levels of soft, even on his tails. 😭
