PROFILE

When she was living and still had her birth name, Ink fell in love with the city of Dalaran. Any time her family would visit to get supplies and magic trinkets she saw something new and exciting. Fire being conjured in thin air, mages summoning familiars, and her favorite thing: paper airplanes that never fell to the ground. When she was seven she convinced her father to buy her a book on the arcane when they went into town. Day after day, week after week she poured herself over that one little book, testing basic sigils and spells. When she was ten her parents found her a mage tutor and by the time she was fifteen she was accepted as a Kirin Tor apprentice. She applied herself night and day over two years before one day she got a letter requesting her cooperation in a fairly secretive study led by none other than Kel'Thuzad. Seeing this as her chance to learn from a former member of the Council of Six she greedily accepted the request not fully knowing the story behind his banishment from the Kirin Tor. So began her dive into the dark art of necromancy.

Over the next year she fell deeper and deeper into this study and the cult that now surrounded it, she became a necromancer for the Cult of the Damned. She eventually became a cauldron leader, and was in charge of building and activating various plague cauldrons around Lordaeron. It became noticeable to many of her cultist peers that she was purposefully avoiding a small village in Silverpine Forest to corrupt. Once her higher ups heard about this they decided to "grant" her the coveted transformation into undeath. Of course this plan was only meant to seal away her memories related to her family, and when the transformation was complete she only knew the Cult and the Scourge.

She became a fully fledged necromancer once she destroyed that town her living self tried so hard to save. With this she was given a new name, Ink - in some way it was a disgusting joke to those who knew her family in life as her family were inscriptionists. After the destruction of Lordaeron and the subsequent take over of the kingdom by the Banshee Queen's forces, Ink fled to the Eastern Plaguelands with a majority of the cult. And it was there where she died a second time from the invading heroes intent on slaying their leader Kel'Thuzad.

When she was risen again, this time all of her old memories were gone for good. A blank slate ready to be built to be the destruction of the Scarlet Crusade and the Argent Dawn. The few scourge that survived the destruction of Naxxramas immediately recognized her decaying form and informed the leaders of the Death Knights that Ink was a former necromancer for Kel'Thuzad. Understanding that she may have some remembrance for necromancy, she wasn't assigned to become a Death Knight, but instead to relearn and remember how to construct the scourge's plague. The motions and the theories came easily, but Ink didn't remember why. The plague became her weapon of choice as she ran down the living and collected their skulls. She mindlessly followed orders of destruction until the battle for Light's Hope Chapel.

Now left to their own devices and freed from the Lich King's grasp, Ink along with the rest of the Ebon Blade found themselves lost in a world that they should not be inhabiting. The paladins and priests of Light's Hope wanted to keep most of the Ebon Blade at the church grounds for rehabilitation before proposing an alliance with the two major factions, but Ink found herself distraught at being by the sides of paladins any longer than she had to be. So in the middle of the night she grabbed her swords and bag of skulls, and snuck out and trekked across the fields of the Plaguelands heading west. Most scourge avoided her path, and it wasn't until she neared the Forsaken controlled Lordaeron did she have any sort of confrontation.

The border guards raised their weaponry preparing to strike down the scourge that wandered too close to their lands. Before they could strike, Ink dropped her weapons and raised her hands in a sign of surrender. Weapons still raised they gather a small group and walk out to meet her, "Scourge what do you want," the leader states. "Do not call me such a name, I am no longer a puppet," Ink merly spits back, "I want passage, I want out of Lordaeron." The negotiations of whether or not she was Scourge or not went on for days until much higher ranked Forsaken arrived to assess Ink's mental state. Once cleared by the border guards, Ink is welcomed into the Forsaken's land and is first brought to the Undercity where she is inducted as Forsaken rather than Scourge in an effort to protect herself if anybody questions her alliance.
