Honey is a young female pyrausta and a soldier working in the Pale Rebellion. Prior to living in the Myna Kingdom, she traveled the world with her brother, Holo.

Honey is a young dragon of small stature, despite being fully physically grown—a trait gained from being a pyrausta. She has several features reminiscent of a moth: four insect-like wings, antennae, and short fuzzy fur instead of scales or feathers. Her fur coloring is mostly black, but bright orange and other warm colors accent her head, ruff, legs, wings, and tail. Her antennae are thin and black and can be moved in very expressive ways. She has two curved horns between which a heart-like shape is formed, small ears, a forked tongue, and a snaggle tooth. Above her chest sits a fluffy white neck ruff, which is very soft. She has red cuff markings around her wrists and ankles, orange paw pads, and small black claws. On her hind legs, she has two yellow spots on each side. While Honey's front talons are normal—having five toes—her back talons only have two toes. Her tail is very short and has two wide bioluminescent stripes circling it, which can glow on command. Her moth-like wings are black with orange and yellow accents on their dorsal side and red with several varying patterns on their ventral side.

Design Notes

• Honey may walk on all fours (quadrupedal) or on her back legs (bipedal). When bipedal, her wings cover her somewhat like a cape, usually concealing her arms unless she needs to use them.
• Her antennae are very expressive and can twist in any which way.
• Her brows and the space between her horns are heart-shaped.

Honey has a very upbeat and lively personality. She has the infallible ability to bring joy to any conversation or situation she attends, and is always cracking jokes or playing harmless pranks whenever she finds the opportunity. Despite the somber atmosphere of the rebellion, Honey repeatedly manages to keep its members chipper with her presence and resulting antics. She is also a skilled soldier and, when necessary, can put on a fierce and resolute facade of a personality. As a result of her ADHD-C, she can tend to be overly hyperactive or inattentive at times. Impulsivity and forgetfulness are traits that often inconvenience her, but when in hyperfocus, she is able to put a lot of attention and care into her craft (e.g. her sword-fighting training).

Ever since they were children, Honey and her brother Holo have made their passion traveling the world, and have never stayed long in one location—besides the United Districts, their home kingdom and most frequent place of residence while not traveling. For sake of self-defense during their travels, they each picked up a different combat technique—Honey trained herself to sword fight, and Holo trained himself in the art of magic. During a trip the two of them took to the Myna Kingdom, Holo went missing and was presumed dead. This prompted Honey to join the Pale Rebellion in an effort to search for the truth and avenge her brother.

Skillset

• Sword Proficiency: Honey has been trained in the art of sword fighting and carries with her a short sword of her own. She is mostly proficient with her right hand but is able to use her left hand in a pinch. She fought best with her brother Holo at her side and has had to readjust to fighting on her own since his death.

Natural Abilities

• Silk Spinning: Honey is able to spin silk from her wrists. This silk is somewhat sticky and very strong—able to withstand large amounts of force or weight before breaking. Additionally, she is able to spin silk quickly and shoot it a length from herself as it is spun. Honey is able to use this silk in a variety of ways—she may craft things with it, use it to hold or prop things up, or even use it in combat.
• Bioluminescence: Honey has two stripes circling her tail that contain special chemicals that allow them to light up on command.

Holo

Holo is Honey's older brother. The two of them were always very close, and in the absence—for the majority of their lives—of their parents, Holo acted as a guardian and mentor to Honey. Since his disappearance, Honey has dedicated herself to the Pale Rebellion in an effort to find closure.

Emperor

Honey is one of many soldiers Emperor commands. It was not long after they were introduced that Emperor grew very fond of Honey and the two developed a parent/child-like relationship. The two grew close quickly, as they both seemed to fill a void the other struggled with. Honey admires Emperor greatly and views them as her primary role model; in turn, Emperor is very protective of and caring toward Honey.

• Honey was created impulsively in a spur of inspiration found through two primary things: an original insect character who used their silk-spinning abilities for combat and the color palette of the infection in Hollow Knight.
