Doesn't naturally show any emotion physically (Note that it does not mean he can't feel any), neutral expression almost all the time unless angry/scared. Struggles to feel like he belongs somewhere, and to be free.

Backstory summary

As a newborn, his family (foxes) was hunted down and Shane was lost while escaping. He was later found by a member of a clan/tribe and they took care of him, but as he grew up the differences between the clan members and himself became too obvious for him to handle. He ran away, looking for a place where he belongs.
