Sascha is often baffled by his own feelings for Veso. To him, the larger man is a nebulously friendly potential partner that he often finds himself struck by despite whatever cases his logic presents in protest. For better or worse, Sascha tends to find himself at A&V's more often than not, on or off shift, sharing cigarettes in the back alley with the Russian, bullshitting about nothing in particular and gaining a larger foothold in the man's life than he is actually aware of.
To Rudy, Veso is like a second father. He is under the impression that his late father must have liked Veso enough to guide him into the Russian's care safely and is grateful to have an adopted family that loves him more than the one he grew up with.
Veso is essentially Rory's brother in law. They have a lot in common (probably more than the either of them will likely realize) and like to take turns breaking each other's balls. Though they go after one another hard, Rory is protective of Veso and loves him like an older brother, presenting himself as a loveable pest to the larger man.
