Tall Teal is a quiet soul who often gets lost in her work. Time and again, one can find the mare perched on a cloud or settled in a park, journal in hoof as she writes away, or doodles. She'll often go to hangout spots just to get practice with her drawing skills, and will often use a small sketchbook if ponies start taking interest so she can pass them out to her drawing subjects. She doesn't mind it, seeing as they're just quick doodles. Her larger book, however, is often kept to herself. Few get to peek at those pages. To Tall Teal, the book is her diary. Each page is made with care, each word penned with purpose. Every line is carefully thought out, each drawing accompanying it adding to the story she tells. It's never truly about her day. No, in that book, Tall Teal writes her Tall Tales, little stories of her own that remind her of her day, both the good and the bad. From her first story commemorating her struggles in Cloudssdale with bullies, "The Silly Filly and the Doe," to her move to Ponyville, "The Quiet Mare," Tall Teal writes about it all. She even writes some scary stories to celebrate Nightmare Night. Her favorite story by far is "Why di I Leave my Bed Today," a story about a mare who had a bad day, but met the love of her life at the same time. Of course, it ended by asking "Why should I leave my bed today, when the mare that I love is here?" She's proud of that one, but she's shared it with no one. When Tall Teal isn't writing or drawing, she's often with her special somepony, Mintyheart, working to inspire her or watching the magic show she tries to pull as she practices. It's a common sight to see the pegasus mare holding her marefriend close to comfort her, despite being quite tall compared to the unicorn. She's a quick study, though she'll often ensure she remembers things by writing a short story, poem, or just doodling something to associate with it. Tall Teal doesn't mind having some alone time, but prefers to spend time with her marefriend when she can. If she's ever down, a quick trot to Sugarcube Corner is all it takes to brighten her day, one sweet at a time. Her goal is to publish a book of short stories someday. Until then, she lives with her marefriend, enjoying the life they've built together.
