Amaia was born in Viraciel with her twin brother. They never knew their father, and Amaia was always very sure that their mother had much more problems than she shared with her kids. Amaia remembers how she cried a lot and drank too much and she was sure her medicine wasn’t from the store. They didn't have much, and being part of the lower class they had to work twice as hard to achieve something. At least Amaia always felt like that and she was sure Nelo – her brother – thought so too. It made her stubborn and deadpan to achieve her goals. Nothing would stand in her way.

While Nelo slipped in the wrong side of the law, Amaia put all her effort to studying hard. She believes that if you are smart and good enough you will do good in life. Her hard work wasn't for vain when she got the top job in the Scientific Research and Development in Mirage.

However, the Intergalactic civil war broke out, and it changed with what Amaia was working on. She started work on weaponry and developed some kind of 'betterment' for the soldiers and for the people in the middle of it all. She thought she should've left then, but didn't because the job was interesting and paid well.

After the war Amaia felt betrayed, not by the government, but that she had betrayed herself, her morals and her principles. She quit and disappeared from the world. Her current whereabouts are officially unknown but she has her little secret homemade lab in the middle of nowhere on T77.
