The youngest of three, little sibling to Bubblegum and Auli, kids of Gary and Rory. Rory was decently popular amoung the island, but Gary was certainly famous. Karrie was never fond of being in the spotlight, leading her to clinging to Rory more, at least out in public. While Karrie found that she hated the spotlight, Bubblegum seemed to love it, and Auli was fine either way. Bubblegum seemed to also take after Gary's inventive nature, and Bubblegum seemed happy to let herself become popular for her own mechanical skills. She liked seeing the things both of her dads built, and tried to take after them, which she found she enjoyed. Karrie liked practicing the different skills both of them used, but figured Bubblegum was the one who was better at the tinkering and mechanical and technical stuff that Gary did.

If there was anyone Karrie wanted to hang out with, it was Snow Comet, her best friend. While Karrie struggled socially with most other penguin, she never had that issue with Snowy. They remained close friends throughout their childhood and never split apart. Plus, Snowy's older brother, Rain, was best friends with Auli. Karrie didn't find anything wrong with Rain, but felt she had to annoy him as much as possible, like another sibling. Toaster was also best friends with Rain and Auli, and Karrie enjoyed his company. He taught her the basics of Card Jitsu, which Karrie eagerly kept pursuing.

When Auli dissapeared, life started to shift. It waas something Karrie couldn't get over, and yeah, Karrie didn't have the best temper, but this was an entirely different kind of anger, which wasn't even the main feeling, but almost felt like a distraction. She didn't talk to Toaster as much, Rain even less. A new habit of recklessness started forming.

It wasn't even the first time Gary went missing. But in November of 2012 it was...different. The lack of any communication had raised instant concern, it wasn't like him, and as the EPF found evidence of kidnapping, it was...stressful to say the least. Then, Herbert came forward, destryong the Everyday Phoning Facility, and taking over the island. Things pretty quicked spiraled to hell. With Gary captured and frozen by Herbert, many penguins looked to Bubblegum to see if she had anything up her sleeve that Gary might have done if he could. Bubblegum decided to try to build something to counter Herbert's laser, and thought it would be useful to scan the dark clouds and see how far they extended to get a better idea of the effects of the laser. But with Herbert's rule, the temperatures kept dropping and dropping, and it was hard to keep up the systems of saftey in place, like keeping a watch on the seasides, which were growing stormy and less predictable. Bubblegum set out into the waters anyways, but she didn't return.

Karrie clung close to Rory and Snowy, never having felt as scared, alone, and angry. With Rain's mentor, the first Ace agent recently captured, Rain nervously stepped up to try to be a strong force in the resistance. Toaster was quick to back up him, as well as Snowy. Karrie quickly followed behind him as well, to their own surprise. But they were mad. They wanted Herbert to go down. But the resistance was still lacking in someone who was uncaptured and not too injured who could rival Herbert's technical skills in order to get through security terminals and shut off the solar laser. This is where Snowy proclaimed that Karrie could do it, citing their hobby with building and tinkering. Karrie argued that they weren't skilled enough, they weren't like Gary or Bubblegum. But with Snowy's contuining encouragement to try, Karrie gathered up her spite and started building. They built devices to hack into the security terminals and shut down the solar laser. As things kept building up, more agents getting captured, and more of Herbert's base infiltrated, things were close to a tipping point, one way or another. Karrie has a device to kill the program keeping up the solar laser, now it was just about getting it there, taking down the firewall, and running the kill switch. With some

Lots of things changed after Operation Blackout. With Bubblegum gone, home felt a lot emptier. While it got a boost of confidence in its own skills, particularly with building gadgetry, it couldn't help but feel more disconnected from Gary. Given its role in the resistance, the EPF extended an offer to Karrie, while it was too young to be a full agent yet, it was welcome to train with them if it wanted, which Karrie quickly shot down. It wasn't that Karrie didn't want to do more to protect the island, but the idea of bein gin the EPF made its skin crawl. Karrie also suddenly got a lot of attention due to its help in the resistance....which Karrie hated and was panicking over. So with all of it all at once, Karrie started to shut herself in more for a while. If Karie went anywhere, half the time it was the Dojo. Card Jitsu was a good way to get out energy, and spars and competition helped make interacting with strangers less daunting.

Karrie decided to take up something new. Herbert was still on the island, and he certainly wasn't the only danger. Karrie wasn't going to be a "new Gary," or an EPF member, but something of its own design. Crafting up it's own disguise armor and gear, Karrie started making a second identity which would come to be called "Red Tide." It tried to keep a watch out for danger, and step in to counteract it. It was often that it crossed paths with EPF members, and rare that it worked with them, rather than trying to solve things before them. It would never say why, if it was some sort of competetive spirit, or distrust, some other fear or something else entirely.
