Jesse was adopted when he was an infant, and raised to be quite the spoiled child. Growing up, he was teased often for having two mothers. Feeling incredibly protective over his parents, he began getting into fights early on in life. As well, despite loving his mothers incredibly dearly; being teased gave him a complex about his own sexuality growing up. He is, what one could say, determined to be as painfully heterosexual as possible.
As he grew, Jesse became a very stubborn and obstinate young man, determined to never be wrong. He has a swing first mentality when it comes to any problems he faces, often getting him into plenty of trouble. School was interesting for him. Though he is not stupid, and quite good at learning, he often spent too much time getting into fights than to spend time in class.
This did not improve once he ascended to higher learning. Still getting into fights and disrespecting every possible authority he comes across.

Pietro
Jesse met Pietro while they were in school, both of them sharing a dorm room. Immediately, there was a distaste for one another. Pietro's personality brought Jesse incredible irritation, in addition to the confusing feeling that he had to realize that he found the other to be incredibly attractive.
This frustration lead Jesse to make incredibly bad choices; getting into more and more fights--with both Pietro and anyone who even vaguely upset him. He also began to spend his nights with absolutely anyone. At first, he found a man to sleep with to prove the attraction he was feeling meant nothing. It came at great unpleasant shock to learn that he enjoyed being with men. This was followed by even more bad decisions, sleeping around whenever he felt vaguely upset.
Over time, Jesse began to gain feelings for Pietro--further upsetting him. He spent all of his time trying to actively deny these emotions; or even to just flat out ignore them when he wasn't able to. Jesse and Pietro eventually having moments of aggressive intimacy did not help the struggle to make sense of his feelings.
Jesse was actually forced to come to terms with his feelings when Pietro left. The other unable to deal with the volatile dynamic they had gotten themselves into. Left alone, with nothing to think about but how much he missed Pietro, Jesse became painfully aware how deeply he'd come to care about him. In a moment of desperation, he reached out, for once, admitting his feelings.
Pietro has become the most important person to Jesse. Though he still has troubles with expressing himself, Jesse is doing his best to portray his feelings. He's coming to recognize how frustrating the choices he makes can be to Pietro. Respectful of the endless patience that Pietro has, Jesse has been trying to improve in order to lessen the burden of the relationship.
Things Jesse Loves
+ Jesse's favorite moments are the times he wakes up before Pietro and he's able to take the time to admire the man he fell in love with, knowing he'd be too embarassed to do it when Pietro is awake.
+ He loves the sound of Pietro's voice, especially when he's speaking Italian. Especially when the sleep hasn't completely escaped Pietro's voice, and it's slightly lower and huskier than usual.
+ He loves the feeling of being held in Pietro's arms.
+ Jesse likes--when it isn't over something serious--being scolded by Pietro, actually.
+ Even though he hates admitting it, he does love it when Pietro is gentle with him.
