The Esteemed Father of GAELs

 Dr. Otto Vandegaard's name is a by-word among roboticists on Espergloria and beyond. He has an incredible talent for machines that began at a young age. At heart an idealist, he infuses his creations with hope for the future and the love of a father. Otto's chief and most beloved creations are the androids Tycho and Lana, whom he regards as siblings to one another. He is as principled as he is clever, but often allows pessimism to get between himself and what he knows to be the 'right path'.
