Cassandra

Cassandra, born in 1822, lived through the highlight years of the gold rush, the movements to the west, and the like. She was a notorious wagon theif. She would sneak into people's wagons in the night, take what she could, and be long gone by morning. One day, she ran into bad luck, and the owner of the wagon she was stealing from was awake, and she was attacked, and bitten. She had no idea what happened; she hadn't realized the owner of the wagon was a vampire. She fell ill for many weeks, so ill she thought she wasn't going to survive, but she just woudln't die. She became so sick she couldn't even move, and, mistaken for dead, some passerbys gave her a proper funeral, burying her right on the side of the trail. Unfortunately, she wasn't dead..... Fast forward around a hundred years, some kids were digging around, using their metal detectors and other equipment to find interesting objects. Their metal detectors went wild, and they started digging. A few hours later, they discover a poorly made wooden casket. To their surprise, they felt like they heard some noise coming from inside. They hesitantly opened it.... Discovering Cassandra. Covered in dirt, her muscles stiff, and her clothes ragged, but still alive. The kids were confused, scared, and partially excited. Could it be what the books and legends spoke of? They quickly brought her back to their home, allowing her a shower and washing her clothes... they soon did discover, she really was who they thought... confused and intrigued by all the new technology around her, the kids decided to try to get her used to modern society....
