Ghost of the Mists

It's uncertain where and when the ghost came from, but when they fell into Tyria far in the past through a portal from the Mists, the dwarves of Stone Summit condensed the magic which they are made of and sealed them in a vase for many, many years. They were lost to time after the fall of the dwarven civilizations as we knew them, eventually recovered by the Priory, and forgotten until a particularly clumsy charr novice accidentally knocked the vase over and broke it. Out leapt the ghost, and from then on, they were companions.

Ghost is a charr... sort of. Unusually small and slight, they also have unusual anatomy suited for climbing, with hind paws adapted for gripping branches. They're unnaturally pale, fur and features almost bleached from their time in the Mists. Most curious of all, though they are a physical being, they can't appear to actually be killed.... they can die, certainly, but it doesn't seem to take. Almost like a self-contained fractal, whatever damage done to them is reversed when they, for lack of a better word, "poof" and re-apparate. This process is extremely disorienting to them, and briefly, they will forget where they are, who they are with, or what happened, until they can eventually recover their memory and their bearings.

Despite the strangeness of their nature and the mystery of their origins, Ghost is curious about this world and why some things feel so familiar, and yet so different. They take pleasure in the little joys that Tyria has to give.
