Macau, Las Vegas, San Jose, Atlantic City, Monte Carlo, and Paris.

All these places have two things in common: Cities notorious for their grandiose casinos, and the places where Quincy Belmont has earned his own notoriety within. Anyone well-versed in the modern world of gambling has heard the name of the King of Spades, and for good reason. Quincy has shown prodigal prowess in a bounty of casino games, which had quickly turned the heads of both established veterans and casino owners alike. Whether it be poker, craps, blackjack, baccarat, or mah jong, whatever the game, Quincy is ready to play, and he's ready to win. While he dabbles in all sorts of casino games, Quincy's favorites are the ones that require some degree of skill to play.

Quincy's claim to fame began with his ability to make millions of dollars within the span of a month— all by starting out with a measly five. It all started in Paris, when Quincy was a 14 year old nobody. Using a fake ID to get his way, the boy often found himself sneaking into casinos to gamble away what little money he had. Whether you want to blame it on cheating, incredible skill, or just a streak of plain luck, there's no doubt that he was good at what he did. What was previously a scrappy little nobody quickly became recognized as a force not to be reckoned with inside the gambling community.

Because the boy's true name was unknown at the time, they dubbed him the King of Spades, a card known for its symbolization of power and triumph. Before anyone could track down the child and find out his true identity, he had already used his amassed funds to move and pillage another gambling hotspot under a different name. From there, the King of Spades would continue hopping from country to country, disappearing from each as quickly as he had arrived. It wasn't until he was 21 and recognized as the Ultimate Gambler did the name of Quincy Belmont become known to the world. At the time, he was found in Las Vegas, which is the city that he calls his true home to this day.

According to Quincy himself, his tale is a tale of ‘rags to riches.’

But then you find out he's the son of a billionaire, Sylvain Belmont.

Apparently, Quincy is supposed to be the successor of managing the world renowned casino-resort chain, Belmont Towers. Baseless rumors about their relationship have swirled around ever since Quincy’s name became known, but it was only recently that Sylvain himself confirmed their propinquity in an interview. But, Quincy is certainly not abusing his position to win, if that’s what you’re starting to think. Not only is he dismissive of this connection, Quincy is rarely, if *ever* spotted gambling in the casinos tied to his family's name. Not to mention, confirmation of his heritage only came to light in the past year or so, long after he left Paris, long after he had already earned his reputation as the Ultimate Gambler.

Something doesn't quite add up here.

Personality

♥ Confident, Observant, Composed, Adventurous ♥
When one is in the presence of Quincy Belmont, one does not simply stand there. The man’s very presence commands an awe-inspiring respect, or it instills a sense of palpable fear. If you’re lucky, it invokes both of these. There is no ounce of Quincy that has low self-esteem. Given his status, the gambler is confident in what he does. Even when he does lose or make a mistake, Quincy is quick to move on and use the experience as a lesson. Incredibly calculating and perceptive of the people around him, Quincy often knows how to play people for his own favor. Quincy is also not one to easily lose his composure. After all, being able to maintain a good poker face is an important skill to have at the poker table, as to not give away any potential information about his hand. He has alligator blood- making him a tough opponent who tends not to get emotional or upset when a hand or hands are not turning out in his favor. Fun-loving and thrill-seeking, there’s nothing that Quincy loves more than an exciting game with high stakes. Given the nature of his talent, it should be no surprise. He’s not afraid to make a risky bet or a daring move! Tension entices him, and that isn’t just limited to the poker table.

♣ Flirtatious, Outspoken, Freewheeling, Enigmatic ♣
If Quincy isn’t being a model citizen with impeccable charm at the moment, then that’s likely because… he’s trying to get into someone’s pants. He’ll go after any guy that meets his standards, using honeyed words, compliments, and a sultry attitude to get his way. If he’s unsuccessful, then… Well, whatever. He’ll see it as their loss, not his. It’s not like he’s looking for a committed relationship anyway; most people are tossed aside after Quincy's had his fun. He’s not the type to keep quiet about his wants and needs either, being incredibly outspoken. If there’s ever any trouble, it’s most likely you’ll hear of it firsthand from the gambler himself. The whole world is in the palm of his hand, and Quincy intends to keep it that way. Life is far too short to be serious, as they say! He’s a rather playful thing that enjoys teasing and taunting others. Despite how talkative Quincy is, very little is ever revealed about himself in particular. For someone so chatty, he’s quite a man of many mysteries. It’s a miracle that his heritage was able to come to light in the first place, and even so, that was because of his father. Virtually everything else is shrouded in heavy fog.

♠ Selfish, Condescending, Duplicitous, Audacious ♠
Quincy didn’t get where he is today by playing nicely, nor did he do so out of the goodness of his own heart. Or perhaps he has! - but only for himself. Incredibly vain, he sees himself as having the utmost importance. All things considered, it’s really no surprise that this multi-millionaire’s massive earnings have unfortunately gone to his head. And no, he’s not sorry about it. Quincy sees himself above most others, and he’ll make sure you know that. Yet, Quincy can be rather charming, if he’s not acting like a total prick. If there’s someone that Quincy sees as higher in power than himself, Quincy will kiss ass and act rather “nice” towards them. However, it’s more difficult for Quincy to act so charming towards those he deems as lesser than himself, especially if they give him a reason to be treated cruelly. They call him the King of Spades for a reason. You’ll never go a day without having the thought that, hey, isn’t Quincy Belmont far too loud and boisterous?! If only people came with volume dials. It’s likely that, if you were to bring it up to him, he’d grow even more gregarious. Oh dear. The King of Spades is filled with sass, and he’s not afraid to speak his mind. Don’t be surprised if he retorts with a smile and some passive-aggressive or sarcastic remark. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt, but in Quincy’s opinion, stamping out the competition is most certainly the fun part.

  • Quincy's birthday, December 4th, is National Dice Day.
  • Quincy’s spoken languages are French (Native), English (Fluent), Italian (Expert), German (Intermediate), and Chinese (Elementary).
  • Seen with a lollipop in his mouth 80% of the time. They're always red, because he can't stand eating them in any other color. His frequent eating of lollipops is meant to be a substitute to get him out of the habit of smoking. Though, he'll still smoke a cig from time to time, especially when he's in a Bad Mood.
  • Quincy hates most animals, but he has an inexplicable love for ferrets. He has three, and their names are Porter, Percy, and Peanut.
  • He has a tattoo on the back of his neck. What the tattoo actually is, that’s for me to know and for you to find out.
  • Though it was mentioned that he likes all sorts of red candy, cherry is his favorite flavor in particular. Up close, one may notice that Quincy smells like cherry candy.
  • Note that Quincy has fangs.

Wow! Quincy hasn't been used in a roleplay yet, so there is... Nothing here.

Perhaps that should change someday.
