Francesca Chaykovskaya is the 34 year old sister of Kirrily Chaykovskaya. The two were born in Australia and bear a strange mix of an Australian accent with traces of Russian.
Frankie was born when her mother was only 21. Oxana Chaykovskaya was a single mother for a time until she met her boyfriend, whom Frankie has a difficult relationship with. In her childhood he could be verbally and physically abusive, but despite this, he seemed to get along with her mother. Her mother didn't seem to take notice of this, which caused both her and her now 27 year old sister to harbor some resentment for their parents.
Decades ago, their grandmother immigrated to Australia from Russia to work in construction disguised as a man. She passed when Frankie was 12, having had Oxana at a late point in her life. Frankie remembered her grandmother's stories and always silently admired her ever since then.
Similarly to her mother, Frankie got into a relationship early. She was married by 24. She was always plagued by mental issues, however, and succumbed to paranoid delusions that her husband was cheating on her. Despite how loving their relationship was, one night she snuck into the kitchen and stabbed her husband to death out of vengeance. By this time she was 28. She faced murder charges in court, where the judge declared her mentally unstable and she was sent to a mental hospital where she spent two years of her life instead.
A distant family member extended the offer to help her move countries and have a fresh start at life. She took it, and together with her sister she moved to the United States where the aforementioned relative helped them attain financial stability. Francesca still struggles with her mental health, however, and all that keeps her from going insane is her little sister's loving support. They both are cynical and jaded from their failed relationships, unlucky genetics and family tensions, but they help keep each other afloat.
