Independent, Blunt, Determined, Persistent, Bitter, Experienced, Ignorant, Biased, Naïve, Judgmental

Jesse likes to talk a big game. He's lived a long time, so he's seen  things in the world change. He doesn't think that he can keep up with today's times, but he doesn't want to be left behind either. Despite living a long time, his experience has been pretty tailored to his own world. There's still a lot of things he doesn't understand about the new world. But he wants to protect the world he knows and loves from anything that could harm it. He wants to find peace and happiness in the world, but he's grown bitter from his years of menial work, hard times, and loneliness. Though, he never admits to his loneliness. 

Jesse is very blunt and honest. He says what he thinks and sometimes his opinions are rather harsh from the walls he's built up over the years. He doesn't give up because he's both persistent and stubborn. 

STORY 

Officer Maddox was a long time motorcycle / traffic cop for years. It really wore him down, but he took his job seriously. Speeding and traffic violations were/are serious business, especially in this fast paced world. However, one day, he caught his big break when he arrested a high profile criminal for multiple traffic violations. No one else in the bureau could catch him. With this arrest under his belt and URA (a higher ranking officer) needing a new partner, he got promoted. He didn't want to be stuck where he was any longer, so he took the opportunity, however, he still feels snubbed once in a while because people aren't acknowledging his achievement with his new android partner (URA) being able to achieve 100x the numbers as he can. Not only that, but URA had already beaten him out of a promotion the previous year.

As an old fashioned human in this high developing world, Maddox is faced with aliens and androids on a daily basis, and frankly, he's bitter about losing to them for years. He's not as advanced as them. With his new situation (his promotion and new partner), his higher ups told him he had to work on his prejudices, which only pissed him off more at the time, but they had a point. But he's seen a lot of shit each day, and being out on the streets and witnessing horrible crimes just kept making him more bitter about the world and all those in it. He doesn't particularly like humans either anymore. He's very much a loner. When he can, he likes to go off on his own and try to prove himself, but URA is all about regulations and gives Maddox a hard time for it.

Maddox has lived a long life, but he still as a lot to learn about what the world has to offer. It's not all just bad like he's started to see it over the years. Jesse likes to talk about how experienced he is, but he's actually never been on a serious case before. The biggest thing he had done before his promotion were a couple car chases, but now he's moving on to murder cases. He likes to think that he understands the human experience better than his robotic co-worker at least. Now he's trying to have a new outlook on life and not spoil the years he has left. he can't help but he a bit bitter, but he channels that into his work instead. He's rough around the edges, but he really wants to show off that he's a good cop and puts a lot of spirit into his work. He's determined and persistent and doesn't give up easily.
