Rowan

Rowan is the last survivor of a rural village that was cursed by a powerful magic user. The entirety of the village was cursed to be trapped as dolls during the day, then at night be completely mute humans again. Unfortunately, many they happened across in their search for a way to break the curse mistook them for haunted dolls rather than people who were suffering from being hit by magic...and were burned. Rowan narrowly avoided this fate, and in his canon, has been found and taken in by two sleepy men who run a bookstore and occasionally take on other odd jobs...which now includes keeping him safe, educated, and looking out for a cure. He's very grateful to Joseph and Lucious, and learns to read, write, and sign from them.

As for his DnD iteration, he's been found and adopted by a pirate captain played by one of the players, and the NPC husband, Rhydian. Silvius has also embraced being an older brother, and steps are being taken to break his curse.
