Shortly after graduating from college with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Evan came to the decision that he was not yet ready to start his career. He decided to use a portion of his college job earnings to rent a cabin in an isolated location for a year, so he could take some time to figure out his place in life.

Evan, who has a passion for wilderness survival, made sure to prepare himself for his year-long break from civilization and packed his car with adequate supplies and essentials. He also made sure to study the flora and fauna in the area so he could live off the land as much as possible.

His stay at the cabin went very smoothly. He arrived in the summer, enjoyed the sights and preparation of fall, and did very well with managing the cold winter. When late spring came and his trip was near its conclusion, Evan had learned a great deal about himself, However, he did not feel “complete”, as if there was a crucial detail about himself that was yet to be discovered. He wandered through the forest pondering the subject and came across a faint trail that he had not noticed earlier.

At the end of this trail, Evan found a small chest on the ground in the middle of a small clearing. His curiosity had the better of him and he managed to open it. As soon as he did, he was rushed by an unknown force and knocked unconscious onto the ground.

When he came to, he immediately noticed that it was suddenly and inexplicably summertime. Confused by this passage of time, he also realized that he was very disoriented as his senses were not as they were. Something had changed about him; he was no longer the human that he was before…
