Background: Meri is a proud captain of a small and agile ship, the Raven's Laugh. She and her crew are a common sight on docks around the Polar Wilds. Merimies is happy to carry passengers and goods both more and less legal. She has also been known to engage in a spot of piracy from time to time, though usually only in partnership with others. She is a fully paid up member of the thieves guild and goes under name Albatross, though also long lobbied to be allowed to use Orca, even though it isn't a bird. She's always talking about retiring after "one more score," but the times she's gone straight Meri grew bored with moving legal cargo from place to place very fast and always ended up slowly sliding into her old ways.
Personality: Cheerful, even when she has you at sword point. Generally a good loser, and is in general easy-going and an bit of an adrenaline junkie. She's only serious when she's trying to pilot the Raven's Laugh through a storm; not even combat makes her lose her smile.
Fun Facts: Wears her warpaint when commiting crimes, in order to disguise her features. It is based off of an orca.
Her best friend is her first mate, Baltus, a wolf. He's serious and he and Meri compliment each other well.
Hasn't spoken much to her family since she went to sea.
