Sascha is a scion of the powerful Ruhestadt family and third in line to inheritance of Raketenbau Ruhestadt, one of the moon's twelve great starship-building companies. He had a privileged upbringing on the lunar colony of Dirala, and as he was not directly in line to inherit the Ruhestadt family estate, he left Dirala at 16 to enlist in the orbital military academy at L2 Station.
8 years on, he is a well renowned pilot of the Earth Sphere Espatier Corps, and leads his own squadron. He is close friends with Cecylia Weisz, with whom he is assigned alongside on the Commonwealth Cruiser "Teufel".
Sascha's two passions are books and fashion. He is fairly well-read, and is a habitual collector of old fashioned paperbacks - though he prefers to keep that as somewhat of a secret. When off-duty, he spends a lot of his time cruising through vintage stores for both old fashioned paperbacks and niche clothing. Outwardly, he's cocky and occasionally flirtatious, liking to be the center of attention - though despite appearances he has terrible luck with both sexes.
