Generally composed and amiable in any situation, he has excellent public speaking manner and is gracious to everybody he meets. He is mostly uninterested in others' affairs though, and tends not to be rattled by situations that don't involve him. He never gets especially close with others and keeps a guard on his private life, but he loves being the center of attention for his natural beauty and grace; he adores being given praise and lip service, and is infatuated with the idea of romance, so he falls for others easily. Β He is a little prideful and takes losing poorly, but he never makes a fuss visibly and does not hold grudges. Rather, he withdraws in his personal life and becomes very hard on himself, pushing his training in order to make up for his shortcomings. He places a lot of his self worth on the opinions of others, so a loss feels like a huge blow to both his ego and sensitive feelings. He has enormous respect for his job, and always places its importance high on a pedestal. Β Paidika loves to lounge on laps when not performing or training, and is content just to have physical contact with someone. Β |

Paidika's build is sleek and trim, with strong muscular legs from his days dancing. He stands at a respectable height, taller than average, but still a touch short by species standards. He has a tall forehead and thin facial features, with a small hoop septum piercing. His hooves are generally obscured by thick feathering on his legs, but for competitions he may tuck the hair away in decorative leggings and wear fancy shoes. He will typically wear some variation of saddle-like vest/corset day to day, but his favorite comfort clothes are thick knit sweaters and leg warmers while he's relaxing. His tail tends to be tied up rather than hanging loosely. Since he is gelded, he does not have testes, only a small area of loose skin where they once were. There is a piercing in this area. Unable to get more tham semi-hard for short periods, which embarasses him sometimes since he feels that it sends the wrong message to partners and he finds it difficult to get on the same "page" sexually, but he loves being pampered and 'appraised' regardless.Β As an active show horse, Paidika spends most of his time living between wealthy sponsors, never settling for one, but performing in the name of many both publicly and privately. His primary skill is in dressage, and he is captivating as a dancer in multiple styles both solo and partnered. His sleek, atheltic build allows him much flexibility and strength for difficult moves and routines. Paidika holds multiple blue ribbons in the show horse world, and he trains hard to keep it that way. Though he loves the public adoration of a crowd during a performance, he reaps even more pleasure from private shows for his donors. However, he absolutely hates having his teeth checked during judging and thinks it feels gross. He's not a fan of things in his mouth. Β |

BathyllusΒ | CousinΒ Β Paidika's cousin and primary source of professional and familial frustration. He doesn't understand why Bathyllus insisted on breaking from family tradition by becoming a sprinter, since he was a promising dancer in his younger years. Paidika frequently tries to get his cousin in good graces with his own wealthy sponsors, but his cousin usually ruins it with his inability to censor his speech. They generally do not end up in the same arena, but Paidika always does his best to show up to Bath's races in support (and then nags him for ages afterward about his poor attitude and public presentation). |

BastilleΒ | Friend & Dance PartnerΒ Β A good friend from the show world, Bastille is one of the few that Paidika is comfortable dropping his professional demeanor around. Bastille brings out Paidika's spoiled and playful side, and he loves to harass him sarcastically and threaten to cut his tail off when they're competing. Bastille is also the only one that knows about Paidika's love of scrapbooking. The two occasionally partner together for dance shows, and Paidika is usually the one bickering and fussing during training - he has incredibly high standards and sometimes takes his stress out on Bastille when he's playing around, though he feels badly afterwards and would never actually intentionally hurt his feelings. They have excellent professional chemistry, and have placed highly in many competitions. Paidika refuses to come second in a solo dance, though. |
