Sayaerithren

Sayaerithren, typically called by the shorter version of Saya as most people can’t pronounce the longer version, is a fairly laid back person, but can be crude at times due to the nature of her chosen profession. Her sense of humor tends more towards the bizarre. Her face has a fairly wolfish look to it.
Her clothes go from simple and functional and made with simple materials to fairly nice and functional and made with slightly better materials. Her preferred outfit consists of a green tunic with tan colored leather strands dangling from the hem, brown leather breeches, a long belt that wraps twice around her, light brown leather boots with green tops, and a long dark brown cloak edged in light blue and lined with dark green fabric. She wears a blue bandana to keep most of her hair out of her face. Always present are her long dagger, which she keeps attached to her belt, a quiver of arrows, her longbow, lock picks, and other assorted rogue’s gear as well as any treasures she might have picked up along the way. Saya is an only child, as her only other sibling, an older brother, died of an illness shortly after her birth. Her parents weren’t the wealthiest of people, but they had enough to live on and keep happy and healthy. They lived in a house on the edge of the woods until she was past all of the regular childhood illnesses. After that, they moved into a house that was a little closer to the village proper. Their house was close to the shrine of Corellon Larethian, where her father served as a cleric. She went to school with the other elven children her age. She excelled the most in physical activities rather than intellectual.
Due to her high dexterity, her mother enrolled her in dance an acrobatic classes. Saya soon grew bored with them and turned her attention instead to the traveling magicians and their sleight of hand. The flashing coins they pulled out of the elven children’s pointed ears attracted her. Soon she learned that she could remove coins from the pockets of passers by without them noticing. Mostly, she put them back, but some of the more interesting ones she kept for herself. The shinning of the coins fascinated her. Being of a not overly wealthy family, she rarely saw many shinny objects. Her parents always had steered her clear of the nicer parts of town where all of the jewelry stores were located. She saw the cheaper stuff that was sold in the market place, but nothing of any real quality out side of the few pieces her mother owned until she was almost an adult.
A few years before she went off on her own, she wandered down into the nicer part of town without her parent’s knowledge. She looked at all of the jewelry stores, the booths selling fine silks and the shine of the light off of the weapons being sold in a group of other stores. Never before had she seen such wealth so openly displayed. She’d only ever heard of such things. Before that day, she’d only taken the occasional coin out of the purses of strangers, but never anything else. Frankly, it had never occurred to her. Now, seeing these things so artistically displayed in the windows, she wondered if she could apply what she knew and what she could do to this new found want in her.
Late one night, she snuck out of the house and headed down to the jewelry stores and paused outside of one, pawing the window as she admired the shine of the moonlight off of the precious stones wrapped in intricate surroundings of silver and gold. She opened the lock somehow. To this day she isn’t entirely certain how she managed it. She snuck in and grabbed a few smaller pieces before getting out again.
