This is  Smudge and he is a genetic experiment between various breeds of lizards and a domestic shorthair.

Smudge was born in a lab that has been trying to breed mixbreeds for a long time, Smudge was the first ever mixbreed to survive and help build the blocks for more diverse mixbreeds to be made.

Smudge was the only one of his littermates to survive, he vaguely remembers them and misses them dearly, he can get quite lonely.

As a kitten he had to be tube fed due to his strangely developed throat. He was also constantly freezing cold as a kitten due to him being partly cold blooded. A scientist noticed this and hand knitted him a scarf, it has become his most treasured possession, he never takes it off.

In time, he has become quite the friendly creature in the lab, he is allowed to roam freely and he tries to make every newcomer he meets feel welcome.

Although, being Smudge isn't all good. He can get sick quite easily and suffers from aches and pains, especially in his tail spikes. He often has to rest and on bad times he has to be connected to machines to make sure he stays alive.
