Okami Henkyokushuu vol. 4
Haru is perhaps the most laid-back traveller in the world. He's not in it for adventure; he just likes walking around and eating food from different lands. The only fierce battles he fights are those in his dreams, and dazed seems to be his default state of being. He lives in the moment, enjoying life's simple pleasures, and just wants to have a good time.
Despite that, there's a side to him he strives to keep hidden from others, one that haunts him with shame and regret. Because of this, melancholy can catch him when he least expects it, but he's come up with the perfect coping strategy: can't dwell on your past if you bury it with time consuming hobbies and never acknowledge it, right?

Haru is the definition of lazy--or not lazy so much as easygoing about almost everything. He always seems to have a calm smile on his face like he's achieved some sort of inner peace. He loves nothing more than curling up under the shade of a tree for a nice long nap. The only thing that rivals his fondness for sleeping is food, be it cooking or eating. He loves sharing his cooking with others.
As amiable as he is, though, he's actually quite guarded. He never says more than he needs to, and he knows how to appear friendly enough to hide his reserved nature completely. He's mastered the art of saying a lot while saying nothing at all.
Haru is a tall, lean dragon with fluffy, mane-like hair. His eyes are soft and rounded, as is his general appearance. He usually has a loose, relaxed posture as though he doesn't have a care in the world.
He wears tunics, robes or loose-fitting clothing that may be slightly ripped. While his kind don't need to wear clothes due to their protective scales, he prefers them because they hide the scars on his waist.

- He's most often seen with a sleepy or content expression.
There is not much Haru wishes to divulge about his early life, but what is known is that he comes from a land far from Edo'namel. While he spends a lot of his time eating and sleeping now, he was a lot more active before he left home.
There's something about him that turns him into an entirely different dragon around royalty. If there's so much as a glint of a crown atop someone's head, his instinct is to bow. He's never explained his affinity for monarchs; all that's known is that it has something to do with who he used to be.
Haru awoke in the oasis of Edo'namel in the aftermath of a magic storm. After witnessing the near drowning of a few strangers thanks to a cursed rock lodged in the bottom of the pool, he's teamed up with them and a few others to find out just what is going on in this strange land he stumbled into.
He also somehow managed to get on a Warg's bad side, though he isn't sure how that happened.

A mysterious figure from his past. He never speaks of her, but what is known is that they were once close. Of everything he left behind, she is the one thing he admits to missing.

One of his newest travelling companions in Edo'namel. Though they do not know each other well yet, Haru enjoys Shiro's company thanks to Shiro's down-to-earth, friendly nature. He hopes they will continue to get along over the course of their journey.
He does wonder how Shiro can be so casual around a princess, though.

Another one of Haru's newest travelling companions in Edo'namel. He is drawn to Akiko's kindness and feels slightly protective of her due to her soft-spoken demeanour. Her compassion for others reminds him of someone he used to know.

Another one of Haru's travelling companions in Edo'namel, a Warg owned by the Sectrode, Ophelia. For some reason, Tor just seems to hate Haru. Haru has no idea why.
