Icarus

Icarus was born into a family were you weren't named until your true personality showed. As Icarus got older, he was very vain and prideful. So, his parents were forced to name him Icarus, because they knew that his pride would be his downfall. However, one day he saved the life of another youngling, but in the process he was horribly scarred. He hid in his room for days, thinking himself a monster. However one night he received a note and flowers from the youngling he saved, thanking him for giving up so much for a child he didn't even know, and the next morning, he woke up and it didn't hurt as much anymore. He learned his lesson of humility, and as a reward his parents gave him a beautiful new pelt and offered him a new name. However, he declined the name and kept his old one. As a permanent lesson of humility and selflessness.
