Personality

Javier by his friends and Roman by others, he’s a student at Hogwarts. He’s a rather persistent individual, his goal to search the cursed vaults to find his long-lost brother who vanished within it. A friendly member of the Slytherin house, he was sorted there due to his high ambitions. He joined the school with his cat, Moxie, who stays in their dormitory bed for most of the day. His wand is made of Hornbeam wood, a Dragon Heartstring core, is 12 and a half inches and is quite bendy as its flexibility. His Patronus takes the form of a hyena.

Backstory

YEAR 4
A gloomy night at Hogwarts, and after a long day of doing what was ordered from Rakepick a duo soon headed back to their dorm in the house they were placed in. "So any new leads on that arrowhead you were looking for?" said the cheerful lad with glasses. "You see Rowan that's the funny part, turns out Madam Rakepick sent me on a wild goose chase when in actuality she was just looking for some key." he chuckled nervously and looked down still trying to wrap his head around it. "What! That's horrible I knew we shouldn't have trusted her!" said Rowan upset about the news. "It's true but we still need her help. Out of everyone at hogwarts she's out best bet to finding my brother and the rest of the vaults." Javier said as they both began to enter their dorm. Reaching their dormitory they saw the other Barnaby and the other two Slytherins in it already fast asleep. They both changed onto more comfortable clothing and wished each other good night.

Waking up the next day and slowly sitting down the dormitory seemed already empty except for Rowan, Barnaby and his cat Moxie. Rowan still putting on his school attire and Barnaby and Moxie still snoozing without a worry. "Morning!" Rowan cheerfully greeted at his friend, "Ready to go to the great hall and have some breakfast?" asked Rowan somehow smiling ear to ear after getting up earlier than them. "Yeah, why don't you wake up Barnaby so the three of us can be on our way?" he replied as he went down to the bathroom and do the usually hygiene and as he made his way back up Barnaby started heading down still in a rather half awake state. Back in the dormitory he found Rowan happily catching up on a book waiting for the two to be done and Javier sat down next to him glancing onto the book and the two of the waited until Barnaby came back up and the three of them started making their way to the Great Hall.

The trio sat together and started having their breakfast together and Barnaby spoke out "Did you find the Centaur's arrowhead?" he asked and Javier shook his head. "Rakepick made it hard for him and made him search for something else without his knowing." Rowan replied back to Barnaby and Javier just let out a nervous chuckle staring at them. "Oh. Well we'll just have to work harder on our own without letting Rakepick find out!" said Barnaby trying to lighten up the air. Rowan and Javier looked at each other and nodded "Don't think she'd like us doing that considering the last few times but no harm in trying again but first let's try to get through the day since our next class is with Professor Snape." said Javier and the two agreed.

They made their way to the Potions Classroom and took their seats and the three of them began chatting some more until Merula and Ismelda suddenly interrupted them "Well if it isn't dumb, dumb and dumber!" Merula said with a long smirk on her causing the rest to put a frown onto their face. "What is it this time." replied Javier only to be quickly cut off by her. "Haven't you heard, I've been training for the duration of this whole year and everyone know I'm back at the top so I'm just in a good mood!" she laughed. "Can't wait to try the killing curse on you lot." Ismelda added with a large grin on her face causing all of them including Merula to look at her a bit freaked out. "Roman shut your insufferable mouth. Miss Snyde and Murk take a seat class is about to begin." Professor Snaper said already fed up with their non stop chatter as the two walked away to take a seat somewhere else. "Why would she tell us that?" Javier asked Rowan and Barnaby. "Maybe she's planning something again?" said Rowan, "She was at the top?" said Barnaby with confusion covering his face. Professor Snape turned around and gave them a glare that clearly meant for them to stop talking in his class so they did so.

After almost two hours in the classroom they headed out and started their break by heading towards the library seeing Bill, Ben and Penny already there talking to each other so they took their seat on near them and they all greeted one another. "Hey you three have you all heard the latest gossip!" Penny asked with a large smile. "If you mean Merula's latest babble then I think we already know." replied Rowan leaving Penny confused as to how they already knew so they filled them all up on what had happened earlier. "I wouldn't think nothing of it, maybe she's just spreading rumors again to make herself sound better than what she is." Bill said as he was writing on one of his books. They all began to think what it could've been but ultimately they couldn't think of anything that Merula might gain asides from popularity. Soon their break was over and they headed towards their next class and they went their separate way except for Javier and Penny which headed towards their herbologist classroom where they soon saw Tonks already there and joined her.

As soon as everyone in the classroom arrived Professor Sprout began talking about what their next big assignment would be but Tonks quickly began to talk to both Penny and Javier and started telling them about a prank she had in store for Madam Pince later in the day. "So what's the latest!" Tonks asked Penny in which she replied with "Oh you know the usual Merula being up to her tricks again and some other juicy stuff I'm dying to tell you later!" and they both laughed silently as to not be called out by Professor Sprout. The class ended later when the hour had passed and as the two girls made their way towards their house common room Javier went ahead to the great hall and have his lunch. And to his surprise he didn't see any of his friends there, not thinking much about it he proceeded to eat the food served.

He soon began making his way towards his Transfiguration class but was rather uneventful then after he went towards his Care of Magical Creatures class and when as he arrived he saw his fellow Slytherins already there Rowan, Barnaby and Liz talking to each other sitting on top of a rock, Merula and Ismelda chatting and giving back and annoyed look at him and other Slytherins having fun waiting for the class to start. He made his way towards Rowan and let Barnaby and Liz talking since they looked to be in the middle of a heated conversation about creatures. "Busy day?" said Javier to Rowan with a smile, "You could say that, decided to go back to the library and Merula took my books and had to spend most of the time trying to convince her to give them back. That was until Madam Pince seemed to noticed us and gave me back my books soon after kicking us out for the day for making a ruckus." Rowan laughed awkwardly and a bit embarassed for getting kicked out of the library.

Professor Kettleburn walked towards the class and happily and enthusiastically began teaching as everyone began to pay attention especially Barnaby and Liz which seemed pretty fixated at Kettleborn and wanting to know everything he would say. Showing off another Fire Crab and how to treat one if you ever see one everyone seemed to be curious about it. "I wish he would talk more about Bowtruckles, I want to know more about them asides from what I learned back in my home." Rowan whispered to Javier as they both still payed close attention to the class. Everyone had a turn at feeding the Fire Crab and even petting it although some were done correctly others did manage to mess up badly and almost got their faces burned off and Kettleburn with a smile throughout the whole class "Getting burned is nothing compared to losing a few limbs!" he laughed.

Like usual the class had ended and everyone began leaving one by one towards the great hall to have their dinner. Rowan and Javier began having the dinner soon to be joined by Tulip and Tonks and both seemed to be laughing histerically. "I don't think I'll ever be allowed back into the library if she finds out I did it!" said Tonks still laughing. "Take it the two of you had fun?" Javier asked and they nodded still laughing and trying to wipe their tears of joy. Ben and Penny both arrived and took their seats near the rest trying to ignore the laughing duo. "Got some good news and bad news." said Penny cause Rowan and Javier to look at her. "The good news is Ben has been improving highly with his charms and I'm quite impressed! The bad news is wasn't enough to battle against Merula and she beat him and took his lunch." she frowned patting him on the back while he just tried his best to avoid eye contact with the rest. "That's an outrage!" Rowan shouted rather annoyed at the situation while Javier just handed over some of his food to Ben, "T-Thanks." he smiled nervously and began eating a bit. "Something must be done about her she's getting out of hand." Rowan frowned. "She's always getting out of hand but regardless of what we do she'll always go back to doing her old deeds around the school and causing everyone to have a bad time." said Javier eating the rest of his food. "It is true but I agree with Rowan, there must be something done about her at least to keep her on a leash for a while so I'll duel her and put her back in her place." replied Penny and Rowan smiled at the thought of Merula not causing so much trouble to the rest. "But for now just stick with me Ben, I got your back!" Penny said reassuring Ben that everything would be fine.

Soon dinner time had ended and everyone started going their separate ways yet again, some to Hogsmeade, some to their dormitories and others just hanging about the school grounds before it got too late. So both Javier and Rowan made their way back to their common room and sat down near the fireplace and started to chat. "If it isn't my least favorite Curse-Breaker!" a voice shouted from behind them, they looked back but with no surprise whatsoever to them it was Merula and Ismelda. "What do you want with us this time Merula." Rowan asked in an annoyed tone. "Tsk, I could care less about a Khanna than I care about Hufflepuffs. I'm here for Roman, you and me, one hour, courtyard. I'll show you what the best witch at hogwarts can do!" she said challenging him. "Sure like you've claimed the last several times before Javier beat you." Rowan replied at her even more annoyed this time. "Zip it you!" Merula shouted fed up with Rowan. "You better be there or else I might have to jinx you." Ismelda said with her usual slasher smile. "Fine. I'll be there and if I beat you would you please stop this madness you've been causing lately?" asked Javier. "You'll just have to find out after I beat you." Merula teased smiling at him and made her way out of the common room.

"You know at times like these I miss Felix being in charge of things." said Javier looking at the two head out then back to Rowan. "Looks like Penny won't be able to mop the floor with her like she wanted. Hope you can handle her on your own, have some studies I need to catch up on so I won't be able to join you." Rowan replied. Javier nodded and stood up to go to the courtyard and to his surprise no one was there regardless of it still being relatively early so he sat next to the fountain and waited for Merula and Ismelda to come and begin the duel they wanted. A bit later than the time that was intended only Merula arrived with her large grin. Javier stood up and made his way to her "Let's get this over with okay?" he sighed. Before he could fully get onto his stance she quickly casted her Incendio charm and out of panic he blocked it with Protego. Quickly they both casted Bombarda but the blast ended up colliding onto the other causing a puff of smoke to appear. From the smoke Merula casted her Incendio while Javier casted Rictumsempra to no avail as Incendio cut through the spell hitting him and burning his robe.

Trying to put out the fire he casted Petrificus Totalus hitting Merula and leaving her stunned long enough for him to put out the fire. Merula tried to cast Episkey but was hit by Javier's Confrigo causing her to fall down. "Merula please stop this nonesense we can tell everyone you won just stop treating everyone so poorly!" Javier shouted. "As if I cared about that! I'm going to beat you right here and now so just accept your defeat!" Merula said holding up her wand and pointing it towards Javier. As a desperate attempt she used Depulso but at such a close range leaving Javier at a disadvantedge, trying to cast  Flipendo but was too late as he was send flying backwards and falling harshly to the floor. "D-Did I really do it?" Merula asked herself surprised at the turn of events. Slowly sitting down Javier used Ferula on himself to ease the pain but still a bit surprised himself at what had just happened. "I-I really did do it." still in shock Merula said not knowing how to react. Javier began standing up "Huh you really did get stronger like you said. I'm honestly pretty impressed." he said trying to get his composure and began making his way to her.

She soon snapped out of her shock and looking back up at him "Stay back! I'll knock you down to the floor as many times as it takes to beat you!" she shouted. "Ferula." he casted his bandage charm patching up her injuries in the battle then offered his hand so lift her back up. Confused as to why he was treating her such a way she just stared at him trying to analyze what was happening until she slapped his hand away and stood up on her own. "You'll get nothing from me!" She stomped and began glaring at him. As quickly as she got angry her mood changed and large smirk appeared on her face "I can't wait to tell everyone how I crushed you all over the the courtyard!" she said and began wandering off somewhere. Shrugging and not thinking much of it Javier made his way back to his common room realizing it had already turned to night time. Not many Slytherins inside assuming most had gone to sleep by now since it was already late. Back at the dormitories the other 2 Slytherins and Barnaby were already fast asleep and Rowan nowhere to be seen as he was busy somewhere else with his studies.

Waking up the next day he soon saw Rowan on his bed studying and slowly started sitting up with his morning grogginess. "Oh you're awake!" Rowan said noticing his friend sitting up. "Barely." Javier yawned and began rubbing his eyes, he looked around with the other 3 beds empty and go curious "So where's Barnaby?" he asked. "Think he said something about going with Liz to Hogsmeade for Butterbeer and talk about creatures with each other so they have that going for them.  Had breakfast earlier and brough some back for you and left in on the chair next to your bed and while I was coming back think I saw Ben and Penny going to Hogsmeade too. Seeing Ben's expression it's prossible Penny probably wanted to buy clothes and if I'm not wrong Moxie saw a rat and chased it around the common room." he said not looking away from his books and pointing towards the chair with some egg salad sandwich. "Thanks and sounds like you had quite the morning." Javier replied and made his way to the bathroom. "Huh?" Rowan looked up not knowing he had talked so much due to him being so focused on the book.

Doing the usual in the bathroom he eventually headed back up and grabbed the sandwich to start eating it. "I think I'll be staying here for the day got some work to finish and a book to catch up on!" he said smiling as he wasn't really bothered by all the work. "Ah alright I guess I'll just go around and see if I can find Bill, I'll see you later then Rowan!" he waved at him and made his way towards the Training Grounds to see if Bill was there and when he arrived he did see Bill but alongside him was Madam Rakepick and Merula. Before he could consider if he really wanted to go near them Rakepick noticed him and started beckoning him over towards them and as he had no other choice now he joined them. "I'm just here for Bill was hoping we could spend the day together." he said as he stared at Rakepick. "Wish I could but I got a tight schedule today." Bill replied scratching the back of his head nervously. "Oh well if that's so then I probably should be on my way-" he was saying but got cut off by Rakepick "Don't run off so quickly, I got a task for you to go and pick up some materials for me." she said with a sly smile. Merula laughed seeing him be bossed around by her "You're going with him Miss Snyde." Rakepick said rolling her eyes. "W-What why me?" she asked surprised at the request "Because I got other things that I need to do than go run for errands. Oh and Mister Roman shame you lost against her, was starting to think you had more fight in you." she gave Merula the list of all the material they needed to find and soon began making her way towards the inside of the school.

Bill sighed having been there seeing all that and realizing how much time had passed "Sorry Javier, gotta run!" he said as he waved and hurried away. Both Javier and Merula just stood there not knowing what to do next, Javier looked at the list Merula was holding and began thinking which one to go look for first. "We're going to look for the Omnioculars since they're the furthest ones away all over in Hogsmeade." Merula said almost demanding, she put the list in her pocket and they both began making their way. Tons of student passed back and forth from the states some minding their business and others staring. "Umm do you think everyone's acting weird." Javier asked noticing the odd looks "Ugh it's because they don't like you or your family Roman. They're just letting you know how little they think of you." she said smiling. They arrived at Hogsmeade and as every weekend it was already full of other students from the third year of higher walking all over the town. Most shops being packed by students buying stuff with their weekly allowance, A little bothered by all the students there Javier and Merula began to make their way to the Dervish and Banges to get the Omnioculars. From Zonko's Joke Shop was Tulip and Tonks buying some of the items there such as Hiccough Sweet for some of their pranks and as Tulip looked out the window she saw Javier and Merula walk buy on their casual wear together through the town "Huh that's weird never thought I've seen those two together even if their life depended on it." Tulip said a bit worried knowing they're usually at each other's throats. "Woaaah is that Javier!" Tonks busted out jumping on top of Tulip.

They both finally found the shop and walked inside of it, surrounded by objects in every corner and store looking much bigger on the inside than from the outside from brooms to wands and book to toys the place seemed to have everything. "Let's looks for that dumb thing." Merula said not amused by half of the things there. They both searched around through the store finding items such as Golden Snitches, Sneakoscopes, Robes and Quaffles but no sight of any Omnioculars. Javier made his way towards Merula and asked if she had any luck and she shook her head visibly angered by that, he then made his way to the register and asked the worker there if they had any let but much to their dismay there were none left in stock and the next package of them would arrive the next day. He then told Merula what he had been told "This is a waste of my time! I can't believe I'm stuck here with you looking for some piece of garabage! Seriously what was Madam Rakepick thinking!" she snapped now much more annoyed than earlier. A bit taken aback Javier took a step backwards "We'll find them, someone around Hogsmeade has to have one so it can't be too hard to borrow or buy one from someone who's not using them." he said trying to reassure her. "I'll take it from their hands if I have to." Merula said frowning but more relaxed than a second ago.

They made their way out of the shop and both began asking around together looking for the Omnioculars but no one seemed to own one. Walking around the alley to another part of town Javier asked "How many people have you told about yesterday?" he said trying to start a conversation "Wouldn't you like to know. From all you know I told everyone at Hogwarts and everyone probably considers me the best witch by now." she smirked. It was already getting dark and no luck for the two of them so they decided to head back but on the gate was Barnaby and Liz petting a creature and they waved at Javier when they noticed him. A bit embarrassed of being seen with him Merula backed off and began looking away, "Javier! Come look! Professor Kettleburn let us borrow this Kneazle! He said we'd be taking a class on them soon and he saw no harm in us having it for the day!" Barnaby shouted at him happily as they both got closer to the gate. Liz was rubbing the Kneazle and looking at the two talking and Barnaby looked behind Javier seeing Merula trying to mind her own business "By the way why is M E R U L A with you?" Javier looked at her then back to him "It's complicated but summed up it's because of Rakepick." he said with a frown. "Merula don't be shy come and say hello to this little guy." Liz said smiling at her noticing that she's been glancing at it for a bit "Tsk, fine but only because I don't hate you as much as I hate these two." she said but just really wanted to see the Kneazle up close.

"We were just about to finish up here and go back to the dormitories, we've been having a long day with the Kneazle and it only makes me for excited to take the class!"  Barnaby smiled widely. Javier looked towards the Kneazle being showered with affection by the other two Slytherin girls "I can probably see why they're popular as pets if anything." he chuckled " Say we can make our way back to the dormitory if the two of you want unless you two want to head out later." Liz spoke out to Javier and Merula "No!" shouted Merula unconciously huggin the Kneazle as the three stared at her confused. She let go of the Kneazle "I mean, I'd be caught dead if I spend another minute with HIM alone." she looked away blushing now and trying to hide it. "So I guess we're all going together then." Liz said still confused but accepting the reply. "Right. Anyways Barnaby  you wouldn't happen to have an Omniocular back at the dorms would you?" Javier said serious now "Omninocular, omni binoculars? I don't think I've even heard of those before? Sorry Javier" Barnaby said really confused and trying to figure out what they even were. "It's okay, I'll look around tomorrow to see if anyone has one they can lend to me so we can give to Madam Rakepick." he said smiling at Barnaby. "Okay we're heading out now before it gets dangerous to walk about. Although I wouldn't mind seeing some nocturnal creatures along the way!" said Liz and they all headed back to Hogwarts.

Arriving at the Slytherin common room the three of them talked about their day while Merula stayed a bit further carrying the Kneazle. "Well I'll be heading back to the dormitory if any of you need me just tell Barnaby to come up and tell me." Javier said tired from his day and making his way to the stairs for the boys dormitory and arriving only to see Rowan face planted into a book out cold and the other two Slytherins in their pijamas chatting with each other and waving when they noticed him there, Javier gave of a slight smile and waved back. He left his coat in the chair next to his bed and grabbed his sleeping clothes making his way towards the showers and eventually changing to them to go to bed and get some sleep. Arriving back at the dormitory Barnaby seemed to have just arrived with him putting all his stuff back into his drawers and grabbing some clothes for himself. "So what happened with the Kneazle?" he asked curious as it was not with him and he was hoping to pet it a bit since Merula had been hogging it for most of the walk. "Oh Liz decided to take it back with her to the girl's dorms since Merula seemed quite attatched to it and she also wanted to spend a bit more time with it before giving it back tomorrow!" Barnaby said cheerfully not minding much about it. "Oh that's a shame then again Moxie wouldn't like unexpected company like that I suppose." Javier said yawning and grabbing a bit of cat food from the top of his drawers and poured it onto Moxie's bowl which she happily began eating after popping out from under his bed. "I'm going to the showers we can talk later or tomorrow." Barnaby said making his way out of the dorm after looking at Rowan's odd positioning while he slept. "Yeah." Javier replied a bit tired so he began getting comfortable in his bed to sleep and quickly losing conciousness as he closed his eyes laying his head on the pillow.

Waking up the next morning like any other he did his things and Barnaby and Rowan were still asleep. He went towards the great hall and began eating his breakfast on his own since it was pretty early and the sun was almost barely risen up. After he was done he made his way back to the Slytherin common room and sat down on the couch near the fireplace and began reading one of the magazines placed ontop of the table infront of him. Few Slytherins passed by going to either the great hall of back to their dorms "I have to keep trying to find that arrowhead at some point, I have to make it up to Torvus for whatever my Jacob did with it." he whispered to himself and yawned. Soon both Barnaby and Rowan walked out of their dorms wearing their casualwear and waved making their way towards him "Morning Javier!" Barnaby said cheerfully "We're going to get some food since Barnaby and I are starving, we'll come back here when we're done!" Rowan said with a smile. Javier nodded and waved as they went towards the great hall. He sighed now reminded that he got nothing better to do there "I suppose I could join them but I've already been to the great hall today." he said placing the magazine back on the table. "Hey idiot get your rear over here we still need to find the rest of the items Rakepick wanted." he looked up only to see Merula walking towards him already dressed and visibly angry. "And now there's this." he said to himself frowning "What was that." she asked raising an eyebrow "Nothing just give me a second I'll be there." he sighed and stood up to make his way to her and both began to walk away.

Now on their way to grab the rest of the items for Rakepick the two Slytherins roamed the school for some of the more easier to obtain ones. "We should get the Stinksap next from Herbology class since Professor Sprout has a few Mimbulus Mimbletonias planted in her classroom." Merula said with her eyes glued to the list, they both made their way to the classroom but door was locked as expected. "I guess there's nothing we can do about that, what's next on the list?" said Javier already done with the whole wild goose chase they were sent in. Merula rolled her eyes and casted the Alohomora spell onto the door unlocking it "Idiot we have a spell for that." she huffed and they both walked in, Javier grabbed a jar and began extracting the Stinksap while the two of them tried their best not to breathe in the disgusting odor emanating from the sap. "Hurry up! I feel myself already gagging and this time it's not because of you being near me!" Merula shouted "I'm trying to do this as fast as I can but Stinksap doesn't exactly fall down like gumballs from a gum dispenser, this thing is really slow!" he shouted back but after a while at each other throats the jar filled and they both ran out of there with the stink still attatched to them. "I can't believe I made it out of that death trap." Merula panted trying to desperately breathe in non smelly air. "I hate Madam Rakepick so much for doing this." Javier said placing the jar inside a bag "I still need her so I can get to the vaults so don't screw this up!" Merula said annoyed at the comment.

"Next on the list is Acromantula Venom, the Artefact room should have some of it." Merula said reading the list "Oh joy wonder why she would want venom from a giant deadly man eating spider." Javier replied sarcasticly. "Keep your head in the game Roman it's not like we can disobey her orders without her knowing."she said as she began walking in the direction of the Artefact room. Quickly they arrived at the Artefact room and both began searching around "You know you don't have to be angry at everyone and treat them bad." Javier said looking through the shelves "Give me one good reason not to." she replied to him. "For starters they might help you out in the future and secondly you might get to like more people if you gave them a chance." he said "Pass." she quickly said back. "I don't need friends specially when I become the strongest witch and find all the Cursed Vaults." she said with a grin quickly covering her face "Blimey Merula why must it be so hard for you to try and befriend others?" he asked a bit annoyed. "Roman it's simply none of your business, people are just a pain to be around and they'll always end up stabbing you in the back. I don't like anyone and don't let me get started on you!" she said now raising her tone and catching his attention "You are a disgrace to the Slytherin house just like your brother, you think you're so much better than everyone beating even our prefects with not much of a struggle. No one takes me seriously because of you and the worst part is that I can't stand being near you!" now basically shouting at him and scaring him a bit. "You make me feel weird like I want to hurl and my chest feels all clugged up and it makes me want to make you dissapear so I won't feel that way! I thought beating you would make that feeling stop but it didn't and the absolute thing that takes the cake is that nobody cares that I beat you." Merula said lowering her voice and sighing and grabbing the vile with the Acromantula Venom on the far back of the shelf. "We're done here and don't make me repeat myself." she said as she began walking out of the Artefact room and him following far behind still a bit shocked at her sudden outburst.

She began making her way towards the Care of Magical Creatures and he slowly followed behind "Is there something you need to talk about?" he asked worried. "There's nothing I need to tell you, leave me alone and let's finish this so I don't have be around you anymore." they both arrived at the classroom for the Care of Magical and began walking about "Next on the list is a Hippogriff feather just look around for any white feather." Merula said and walked further away. He searched through every corner in hopes to find a feather and eventually he did and took it to Merula which then she put inside of a bag "I'm sorry if I offended you didn't think you'd be that hurt by me." he said trying to apologize to her "Shut up Roman, I don't need your stupid apology. Let's just find that last item the list which is the Omnioculars you couldn't find." she said and walked towards the school to look for some. They asked some of the students and Merula threatened others to hand them other but with no luck neither could find one yet again and they day slowly started getting dark. "This is a disaster why is it that none of these idiots in this stupid school have one of those dumb things!" she stomped angrily "Look I'm sure if we keep looking we'll bound to find one." Javier said trying to calm her down. "Are you daft! There's no way we'll find one before tomorrow and Rakepick is curse us for this!" she shouted "Maybe there was one in the Artefact room and we missed it?" he asked before quickly being cut off by her "Blast it! The guy at the Dervish and Banges said they would restock them today! How could you forget!" she yelled at him "I don't know! You forgot too otherwise you would've said something!" he yelled back. "Look I'm sure if we break it to Rakepick she'll go easy on us and let us off with just a lecture. Let's just go back to the Artefact room and check it again okay?" he asked and she complied albeit still angry.

They both made it to the Artefact room but to their surprise Rakepick was there "Madam Rakepick!?" they shouted out scared "You two look like you've seen a ghost. For both your sakes I hope you two weren't taking behind my back." she raised and eyebrow and looked down at the two. "Uh no Ma'am, we've brought those things you wanted. H-Here." Merula said handing over the bag with the items. Rakepick looked through the bag and smiled "Very good this is all I asked for. Except for one thing the Omnioculars." she frowned and looked and the with a bit of anger on her face. "I-I can explain. I uhh..." Merula tried to come up with an excuse but was interrupted by Javier "We couldn't find them It's my fault really we should've gone to Hogsmeade today and bought some for you but I took too much time here and we couldn't make time to grab them." he sighed looking down and Merula stared at him confused. "Oh is that so?" Rakepick looked down at him and then back to Merula and she nervously nodded. "Well the two of you pass." Rakepick said with a smile causing the two of them to look up at her confused. "Huh what do you mean?" he asked "I'm not an idiot Mister Roman I've been following the two of you these past two days and this little list was only to make the two of you spend more time together and get along since I want no conflict between the two of you if we're going to find these vaults." she grinned "And from the looks of it seems like it worked. But I'll be keeping these and the two of you can now be on your way." she said pointing them at the door. Confused the two of them walked out together and just stood in the corridor "Did she just use us again?" Merula asked "I'm not sure?" Javier replied. "I suppose we can do whatever we want?" he said and Merula shaked her head "Tsk about time. I've been waiting all day to get as far away from you as possible." she said with a grin "Be warned this doesn't change anything between us got that!" she yelled and him "Do you really have to treat me like that?" he frowned and crossed his arms. "I wasn't done idiot." she said catching his attention "Thanks for standing up for me Javier. To be clear I could've stand up for myself too but this stays between us got that." she said annoyed "Uh sure I won't tell anyone." he said surprised "Good." she began making her way out of the corridor towards the dormitories and left him there.

"Oh that was different?" he said as he stood there trying to process all that happened and soon began walking to his common room. Still relatively early when he arrived he saw Barnaby, Liz and Rowan sitting at the couch in the common room and waved at them. "Hey guys." he said as he sat down next to Rowan. "Hello Javier!" Barnaby said cheerfully "We're have you been we've been chatting here all day!" Rowan said smiling "Had an odd and long day is all. Happy to see you all." he smiled back at them a bit awkwardly. "We'll you're here now, I think that's all that matters." Liz said reassuring him "Yeah you're right thanks. So what did I miss?" he asked "What didn't you miss! We've spend the day playing all sorts of board games Rowan has and Liz was dominating!" Barnaby said smiling widely "I went easy on her hehe..." Rowan said nervously "Wow that does sound interesting! Shame I wasn't here to see it!" Javier said impressed "We can still go for another if you're up for it." Rowan said placing his hand on one of the boxes on top of the table. "I don't see why not. Bring it on guys!" Javier smiled and they all began to play together until it got late and eventually made their ways back to their dorms and rest for the next day to wake up early and take their classes together in that school year.
