PERSONALITY - Bartholomew
MAGIC - Bartholomew is a mess. He is the byproduct of two very powerful mages, one mastering in decomposition and one mastering in reconstruction and formation - the ultimate alchemic duo. Bartholomew inherited strong Decomposition Magic from his father that reacts on its own based on his emotions. If he can't keep a level head, Bartholomew's magic will start to act out and become destructive to the people and things around him in a flight or fight kind of response. His magic is tightly wound energy that presents itself as shocks of electricity or jolts of lightening. Touching him when he is nervous or unsettled would result in a rather painful static shock.

Backstory
Bartholomew was seperated from his parents at the very young age of 3. When his mother went missing, his father left in search of her, suspecting foul play. In turn Bartholomew was left in the care of his aunt and uncle on his mother's side. Bartholomew's aunt and uncle were initially kind in his upbringing, despite not being magically adept in any way themselves. However, as Bartholomew's magic grew stronger and more unstable as he aged, they began to fear his power. When Bartholomew was 11 he was sent somewhere 'safe' where the Crenshaws thought he would be better taken care of.
The Home for Wayward Mages was set up as a sort of rehab center, however, instead of helping mages control their magic it found ways to stifle it instead. From the age of 11 to 18, Bartholomew was given pills and potions to curb his magic and nullify it, turning him into little more than a zombie.
