Slip is the younger of two children of the head of the Duilio family, her older brother being Rush. Slip grew up knowing one day she'd be in charge, swearing that her brother would never top her despite being older. Turns out she was right as her brother Rush failed to impress their father and was stripped of his right to lead. This put a bit of a rift between the two siblings, though Slip has made it quite clear she would like Rush to be her second in command he isn't satisfied with it.

Slip and Rosa met in high school thanks to her being a year ahead of schedule, she was sophomore and Rosa was a senior. The two first ran into each other in gym class, playing dodge ball. They recognized each other almost instantly, having seen each other in files about the other's family. As fate would have it, they were the last two standing on the court. Rosa was a legendary thrower, and Slip and expert dodger. The coach finally called the game after ten minutes of the two missing each other. After class they went to lunch and ended up talking the entire time.
This is how Rosa and Slip became friends, and they managed to ally their families through that friendship.

She grew up with Dozer and Diggs, considering them both siblings. When she started to get into the family business at 13, Doze and Diggs became her body guards simply because she trusted them the most. Slip will absolutely kick your ass if you mock either of them for any reason, especially if you're being racist or homophobic. She has little to no tolerance for discrimination toward anyone and has a VERY strong sense of justice.

Slip is proud, snarky, and clever, never make a deal with Slip, she will always be the main benefactor. When Rush cut her nose open she returned the favor by breaking his, and that is why Rush never directly picked a fight with his sister again. On one of her first deals with Gregor's Hellions, they tried to kill her by cutting her throat. Dozer broke Gregor's arm while Diggs took care of Slip, resulting in a stitched scar across her neck. The cut was fairly clean, and not too deep which is what spared her. When Samuel finally met Slip they actually bonded slightly over their similar experiences with the Hellions. Slip sees Samuel as a sort of godfather, especially since she spent a lot of time at the Diodato manor as a teenager hanging around Rosa or learning the ropes from her father, watching him and Sammy talk business.
