The Basics
Xia is a quiet but wise lioness. She is extremely thoughtful when making decisions for her pride, something she wishes all leaders would think about. She is extremely admired in her pride due to her physical and mental strength. As a founder she has had to chase away many competitors over her time. Many are males larger than her, however she never cowers and will always try to peacefully ask them to leave before physical violence is needed. Xia is also very welcoming to prideless lions and will always accept any into their pride (Under watchful eyes of course).
In her free time Xia enjoys talking to other members in her pride about any problems or concerns that may be going on. Xia is a great listener and many members will often console in her regardless of the size of the problem. She also enjoys just sitting by the lake and listening to the sounds of her pride in action. It is extremely therapeutic for her and reminds her how hard work is always rewarded.

Xia had always been a natural born leader. She was always the most confident within her littermates and the first to volunteer herself for any pride activities. Always well loved by her family and friends she had a bright future ahead of her. When she reached adolescence, it was time to determine her role in the pride. However, she didn’t see herself in any of the available roles, hunter, medic, scout, none appealed to her. Instead, she looked up to the current leader, she loved the idea of controlling a pride, making important decisions, helping those in need and having a close community. After realising her dreams, she spoke to the current leader and her parents. All were very accepting and encouraged her to start her own pack. As soon as she was of age, she set out to find a safe place with a few fellow lions who she had invited. Only accepting perfection, it took the group three days of exploring to find EchoLake’s land. Xia knew it was right as soon as she set eyes on the setting and was pleasantly surprised that it hadn’t already been claimed. Immediately the exhausted lions set up shelters to stay and claim their area. It was home.

The role of Queen is one of the most important and demanding ones in the pride. Everyday Xia has a list of tasks that she must carry out. This includes sending out patrols, checking in with the healers, holding meetings and more. Other tasks are not necessary but she feels it is her duty as Queen such as speaking to pride members and making sure they are okay. Xia is more than happy to do all this, it is exciting to know that everyday holds something different. Some are calm and relaxed, others are hectic and stressful but that just adds to the job. Sometimes she wonders how much easier her life would be if she was a simple hunter or scout but that thought quickly leaves when she witnesses the love her pride has for her. She built her home from the ground up and wouldn't have it any other way.

As cliché as it may seem, Xia has already achieved her dream. All her life Xia has wanted to rule and be responsible for her own pride and now she has achieved that. While her dream hasn’t been easy, and she has made many mistakes she is extremely grateful for where she has gotten and couldn’t ask for anymore. She does, however, have a few more goals that she would love to complete at one point in her life. The main one is finding a mate and having someone by her side. While she doesn’t show it, she often gets lonely and is a hopeless romantic at heart. She wants a nice kind male who will sweep her off her paws. Xia also has a few smaller goals. One being getting new pride members. She is an extremely friendly lion and loves welcoming new members into her pride as they bring with them a new personality and different friendships. It is especially her goal to rescue at least one orphaned cub due to her maternal instinct.
