originally "malestrom uzumaki" a old octopus sonic-verse oc I got as part of a trade! I love revamping super old characters, and I find him charming<3
-Maelstrom is now a Mobian chimera: a canine-cephalopod hybrid (border collie and humboldt squid?) likely tainted with the DNA of other species as well. The organisation that produced him is currently unknown, but he is definitely a military agent being used to further some kind of agenda. As such he is only seen during combat situations and is definitely not talkative!
His main traits are:
-Mobile head tentacles, shorter than those of a regular mobian cephalopod and not able to take on different colours or forms (maybe they should be able to look mildly fluffy from a distance?). Their primary use is for holding small objects.
-Focused (able to stay on-task for long periods, even if it requires staying still in hiding or menial or demeaning tasks as long as it is for a goal).
-Conversely, if activities aren't related to his current mission, or are getting in the way of them, he can become very impatient and snappy.
-Has a very specific knowledge base. (e.g. can tell you all about weaponry or military tactics, but he probably doesn't know what a games console is or the lyrics to any popular songs.)
-Phsyically capable, has good stamina, speed and resilience to blunt force trauma because of his rubbery cephalopod DNA. Below average resistance to cutting, impaling, chemical or other skin damaging injury because of softer mostly furless skin.
-Is equipped with various devices that all perform small spy-gadget-esque functions. Examples would be a tracker showing his gps location, a miniature radio scanner/communicator, a shock collar/bracelet (for keeping him in check, mostly unused), short range EMP device.
-Has a favorite knife/dagger. It has no special functions or craftsmanship, but is one of his first possessions and somewhat colour-matches his body, causing him to be fond of it. Probably his only belonging he would be willing to barter or fight to get back.
- The red of the scars on his back is not blood or flesh, but red squid/octopus-like scar tissue from burn damage. Likely from red-hot explosion shrapnel or similar.
