Bernard

Wylan is Bernard's younger brother and he practically raised him.

 Bernard is the one usually feeding him; although there are times where they both have to go look for a "volunteer" for the vampire bats meal.

They both refuse to join a vampire colony mostly in fear that Bernard would be enslaved as cattle. If Wylan were to go alone, neither of them would stop worrying about the other.

Bernard and Kiglas were childhood friends and were together for a long time. They were inseparable, always together.
However, Bernard always wanted more than what Kiglas would offer.
Maybe that was why Kiglas left the city.

It has ben a couple years since they last met, but this time, Kiglas has returned with someone else, asking for help.

But maybe they are not together together, right?
Bernard cannot but feel guilty about wanting Kiglas to not fall in love with anyone.

Oku became Bernard's closest friend after Kiglas left the city.
The two of them got closer to eachother as a result of their own loneliness.

Bernard just lost his best friend and Oku lost his family, home and everything he had. However, he doesn't think Oku would be as accepting of his brother as Kiglas is, so, with a heavy heart, he told Oku he couldn't stay at his house. 

Bernard would do anything for Oku. Well... Mostly anything.

Ylopon is the guest Kiglas brought over for help.

Bernard doesn't know what to think about her yet, but it seems like she is ok.

He would prefer if she stayed away from Kiglas, though.
