The Golden Fiddle Tavern

A lively tavern found by tumultuous souls past midnight - but only if the soul is seeking rest and recovery. It exists in the liminal space between the material world and ethereal world and so is nearly impossible to find, but its doors are always open to those going through transitions or at a crossroads in their lives. Many dragons, both alive and dead, check in for a short stay, but few end up choosing to leave...

There is an entrance to the Tavern in all major cities of Sornieth. No matter where you enter, though, you will unknowingly pass from the material world into limbo and find the lively top floor of the Tavern. There you can purchase meals, drinks, and mysterious trinkets, as well as chat with the unusual patrons. Most visitors to the Tavern do not even know that it is the exact same one no matter the city you enter from, and have no idea there’s dozens of floors below the main level.

If a dragon intends to stay at the Tavern as a guest, or they are brought there through Vahlokdozii’s power, they will be able to find the ladder at the back that leads down to the lower floors. Dozens - perhaps even hundreds - of floors stretch below you once you reach the landing, all circled around a wide, deep void that plummets into the darkness. Traversing the stairs at the sides will take you down to the floor you “need” (many dragons express frustration upon finding themselves on the therapy floor), but traveling back up you may find there are far more floors than you remember while going down.
