Vahna

Much like any other individual to be infected with the dreaded Raktum Tinevadu Syndrome, life for Vahna Tamboli can be split right in two: Before the syndrome, and after the syndrome. Before contraction, she'd been considered a prodigy, a promising up-and-comer in the prestigious but often shady world of Nemean Combat Sports, putting her skills as a mixed martial artist to the ultimate test, and making solid money in the process. The good times were fleeting however, as a duo of skipped medical checks (her opponent before the match as well as her own post-fight diagnostic) resulted in both combatants falling victim to the feared sickness, ending their careers in an instant. 

What followed for the formerly fiery Vahna is a story common to those with the debilitating disease, withering, a crippling depression, and a near constant undercurrent of stress that threatened to boil over into an avalanche of grief, along with the characteristic pangs of unnatural hunger that shadow the syndrome's sufferers through their daily life. It took an agonizing wake-up call to snap Vahna from her funk... namely the news of the suicide of former rival Gess Chargrin, the opponent both from and with whom she'd contracted RTS. The event was a wake-up call, and with Gess's passing came renewed fervor with which she gathered the strength to take back her own life... RT Syndrome might have been a life sentence, but it need not be a death sentence.

Thus, her fitness regimen began anew, taking inspiration from her old dietary and exercise plans and adjusting them accordingly, quickly taking note how much her cravings for blood seemed to reduce when her body's legitimate needs were satisfied. Along with this revelation came another, in her search for reference material on rakta self-care, she found herself coming up empty. With that, she knew exactly what her new goal in life would be, purchasing a proper camera at her first opportunity and setting out to become both the well of information and the spark of inspiration that she'd wished she had upon turning. It wasn't long before Nemean social media lit up with interest at the return of the former fighter to the public eye, with both grateful fellow rakta and curious onlookers alike quickly bringing in a tidalwave of views for the fledgling health guru. Though her old career may have ended, and in some ways, her old life along with it, Vahna intends to prove that her illness need not control her life, and that anyone else suffering from it may also choose to take control of their own.

Vahna spends the majority of her time confined to her Nemea City home, either cooking, exercising, training, filming and editing videos, or enjoying the company of her girlfriend Klarissa. Though she'd never really considered herself the homemaking type, she's come to find a certain comfort in domestic activities, particularly when it will take a load off the mind of the often over-stressed Klarissa, with whom she now shares her living space.
