Netflix Castelvania OC I’ve had for a while and really need to do more stuff with, haha . Rough notes, I’ll probably add more later.
Celandine looks like a young woman who’s 5” 4” fairly tall with very pale skin, dark blue eyes and ash brown hair that’s swept to the side into a small braid. There’s a small beauty mark under her left eye. She favors dark red when it comes to clothing. When at Carmilla’s castle, she usually favors fancy dress with gold jewelry. When on a mission, she generally wears whatever clothing fit into the ‘role’ she’s been given.
Celandine Is a dhampir, one of Carmilla’s ‘daughters’. She’s not related to Carmilla in anyway, but is part of a group of dhampir that were created by the vampire as an experiment so she could have daylight agents to gather information and perform missions for her. Carmilla only calls them her ‘daughters’ as a way to manipulate and control them. Obey her, and succeed in the missions that she gives them, and they are given praise and more freedom in her castle. Defy her, or fail, and they are locked or outright killed. Since they don’t know any other life, most half-belive her statements that she doesn’t want to punish them, but they are giving her no choice in the matter. Celandine herself will say that she both loves and fears her ‘mother’ in equal measure, but her true feelings on the matter are opaque even to her. She’s been conditioned to not think at all outside her assigned roles or missions, and shies away from really examining her twisted relationship with Carmilla.
Celandine Is actually unusual in that she’s part of a twin set. Cattleya and Celandine were allowed to exist because of Carmilla’s curiosity. They have a psychic connection with each other that Carmilla thought might be of use to her. Although it does make them an incredible team, it also gave them a connection outside of Carmilla that she didn’t want. She was used to playing her ‘daughters’ against each other, making herself the only person they would trust. Cettleya and Celandine however, tended to rely more on each other. However, in that Carmilla found an opening that was almost amusing to her. Celandine was the more obientident of the twins. As long as she continued to obey, Carmilla, although she would have Cattleya locked up, would continue to let her live.
-Celandine is also a very good operative, able to superficially copy many different societal roles easily. She also has an ability that lets her blur her presence and go unnoticed by people around her. It’s not really invisibility just a...suggestion that there’s nothing interesting where she is. Someone with a strong will, or who knows about her ability can see through it. But if you don’t know what you’re looking for your eyes just slide over the top of her until she’s right on top of you.
-When she’s not playing a role, and away from her twin, Celandine tends to not know what to do with herself. She has no idea how to act when she isn’t told what she’s supposed to be. Even something as simple as a favorite food can escape her because she’s been for focused on simply pleasing her ‘mother’ than examining her own self.
