Zagreus Zagreus' origins are shrouded in mystery, born from a broken union between two of the first elves, the King of the heavens and Atarah, the shared mother between him and Eos. Despite his royal bloodline, his birth was veiled in secrecy and pushed into obscurity by his lord father. Unlike other stars, who were born in the heavens, Zagreus came into existence in Xadia, bound to the earth from the moment he took his first breath. This unique circumstance isolated him from others of his kind, leaving him with no connection to his celestial brethren. when his mother passed a short time after his birth, Zagreus was passed on to the Celestial elves, learning Sky and some star magic. As he grew into a young adult, zagreus left the frozen north , venturing on his own downawards , that is when he would meet Xanthos , a bright Skywing elf . Taking the young startouch elf under his wing , Xanthos would train him how to fight and most importartly survive. Over the centries ,Zagreus forged a formidable reputation in the underbelly of Xadia's society. His ambitions knew no bounds, and he carried an unapologetic demeanor as he navigated through the shadows. To most, Zagreus remains an enigmatic figure, a myth and legend known only to a select few. Yet, he is on a journey across Xadia, seeking keys to a grand puzzle that holds significant meaning to his destiny. This ambition fuels him as he delves into the forgotten corners of history and embarks on a path that will undoubtedly shake the foundations of Xadia upon his return. The rightful throne he seeks to claim is no mere title; it represents the legacy he's destined to unveil. Though Xadia may have forgotten him, Zagreus' legacy will not remain hidden forever. He is a force to be reckoned with, and the echoes of his name will reverberate throughout history as he rises from the shadows to claim his place among the stars. As the forgotten brother of Xadia, his existence will become an undeniable truth, and the land that once overlooked him will bear witness to the power and mystery he possesses.

Appearance

Zagreus is an imposing figure, standing tall with a commanding presence. His deep blue skin transitions smoothly from his nape down to his torso and mid-legs, gradually deepening to a near-black shade. His eyes are small and downturned , appearingg silver in certain lighting, While his hair cascades down his back in fluffy, white and black curls , often referred to as "Rivers of Moonlight." His hair is tied into two parts due to its layered cut, with the upper half brushed back into a bun, and the rest flowing down his back in a loose braid. He has a midpart for his bangs. one side is lose while the other is tucked behide his ear. A little curl of hair lays out of place. Zagreus's eyebrows are thick and sharp , often knotted togther in a stern or solemn expression. Like others of his kind, Zagreus has stars scattered across his skin, along with markings under each eye and on the bridge of his nose. However, unique to Zagreus, he is one of the rare elves born with three horns, with two black horns crowning either side of his head, the third and smallest horn resting right on his forehead, a single horn tapering to a point. For clothing Zagreus typically dresses in dark colors such as black, greys and muted lavenders. Often seen wearing layered robes and armor, his base robe is long middle robe with a open purple sleeved robe over it . To tie it togther he whears a long black open-chested robe with simple lines to adorn it. Silver bands decorate each bicep, keeping the sleeves in place. Layered on top of his robe is a thick black leather shoulder guard, fastened to his neck, covering his wide shoulders, and tapering into a slight point. Decorated with a bigger piece towards the center, rays on either side give the silhouette of a pair of soaring wings. He wears simple black pants with a metal band on his left thigh and deep leather brown boots with shin guards fixed in place, similar to the ones on his forearms, decorated with silver and a light blue diamond in the center. As a result of the otherworldly magic bestowed upon him by the "Star Devourer," Zagreus's left arm is now infected with a hungry, ever-eating magic. Once the twin of his other arm, it is now blackened with a near-rot-like appearance, with thick black veins spreading across his skin, reaching up to his trapezius muscle over the centuries.

Over the centuries long life span common among those connected to the star primal , Zagreus has been a host to an otherwordly type of magic . Bestowed upon him by the "Star Devouror" , Zagreus's left arm has succumbed to an infectious magic , hungry and ever eating. His left arm ,once the twin of the other , is now blackened to an almost rot like appearance. Thick black veins sprout forwards conquering more and more of his skin with the passage of time and use. once only reaching his mid-forearm, over the centuries , it has spread up to this trapezuis muscle. It conquers still.

Personality

Zagreus is a reserved and introspective individual who chooses his words carefully, speaking only when necessary. He presents himself as unapproachable, preferring to keep his internal thoughts to himself and sharing his plans only when they are ready to be executed. He rarely wears his emotions on his sleeve and tends to respond to others with brief phrases, "hmm"s or a simple nod of the head. Although his brow is often furrowed, he occasionally shows hints of expression through a raised brow or widened eyes. Zagreus is not prone to angry outbursts and remains calm and collected even in dire situations. He possesses innate leadership skills, making deliberate decisions and taking intentional actions, and is a pillar of strength to those who work with him. Although emotionally distant from others, he has a small circle of close confidants whom he fiercely protects. Zagreus often hides behind a self-made veil, as it is easier to commit acts of treachery and violence when he isolates himself. Despite his tactical skills, he has failed in forming bonds where he should not have.

• Zagreus ( Ζαγρεύς) - comes from a minor god in Greek mythology . Son of Zeus and Persephone , he was dismembered by the Titans to later be reborn. Usually conflated with the god of wine, Dionysus, he is dubbed as the god of The Orphic Mysteries, his name is thought to mean , "a hunter who catches living animals" or "pit for the capture of live animals". not much is known about this Minor god
