From the Nomad Legend of Star Gaze- Star Gaze was known for being the mother of the herd. She met with a native human chief who had a vision of the coming settlers, and he warned her. When the herd was young, their pelts were all variations of grayscale, but when Star Gaze suggested that the herd become a 'night people', Nomads slowly grew darker coats to blend in with the night, and the firstborn calf of Star Gaze was born with red eyes and became the spirit-talker of the herd. from then on, red-eyed cattle of the herd were considered holy, and by proxy, Star Gaze became a holy name. Only Nomads of high spiritual honor are allowed to be named as such.
