Game Info
Cosmos is a friendly Halfling wanderer who has a strong interest in mapping out and investigating ruins that they come across, making Cogwheel Village practically the perfect place for them to live. They always carry a pencil and sketchpad with them on journeys into any sort of ruins, just in case they find something interesting they want to map out or take a note of. They're also very interested both in the night sky as well as the different planes of existence.

Standing at only 3'1" in height, Cosmos is above average height for a halfling. They have fluffy red hair that falls to about their chin in length and have light blue eyes and freckles on their skin. They wear gold wire rimmed glasses because they're farsighted and are rarely seen without them on. Though their outfit may change on occasion, their usual go-to adventuring outfit consists of a thin long sleeved shirt with armor and a shorter sleeved loose coat over the top, brown pants, green boots with yellow knee guards, a thin yellow scarf, a pack with a quiver attacked on their back, and a very light metal weight attached to their tail to remind them to keep it out of the way. It's also noteworthy that for the last few months, they've been seen wearing a small silver and sapphire engagement ring on a thin steel chain necklace.
- Friendly (While they may not be the best at conversations, they really do try their hardest because they enjoy making friends.)
- Caring (Hates to see others in pain, and always wants the best for people, no matter what.)
- Loyal (Would never betray someone close to them and finds even the suggestion of betrayal as reprehensible.)
- Steadfast (They hold their own morals steady and are never afraid to tell someone they're wrong.)
- Intelligent (They're usually very bright and eager to learn about new things and see new perspectives.)
- Quick-witted (Both quick to make decisions and keenly observant.)
- Adventurous (Endlessly curious, they spend a lot of time out alone in various less-travelled places.)
- Suprisingly Fierce (While they'd prefer to keep fights to a minimum, they can hold their own in a fight suprisingly well and don't like being treated as a pushover.)
- Overzealous (Always jumps at the chance to help people or make friends. This usually ends up haviang people assume that they're naive.)
- Sarcastic (Never really getting hostile per se, they usually just get super snarky when mad.)
- Overthinker (They tend to have one-sided conversations with themself that ends up with them either going on some sort of tangent or overthinking something they are about to do or have already done.)
- Stubborn (They can be adamant about things, to a point that others may find it frustrating. Usually this is less about serious things and more about Cosmos insisting that someone take care of themselves, however that isn't always the case.)
Cosmos was born and raised in Celestica without much fuss. They were a fairly normal child, if a little hard to socialise with. They were usually found either hanging out with their siblings or playing with friendly animals they came across.
However, despite being the child of two sorcerers, Cosmos discovered that they had a very difficult time learning to cast spells. It's not that they couldn't use magic, using magic was easy. The hard part was getting the spells to produce their intended effect. Much of Cosmos' childhood was populated with incidents such as trying to light a candle in their room and summoning a small duckling instead.
Cosmos' parents never had any ill will over this, of course. They were actually sort of relieved that they didn't have to deal with a small child having the ability to use prestidigitation. When Cosmos was a teenager though, they often tried to help and encourage Cosmos to try and properly learn a spell they seemed interested in. This worked exactly once, when Cosmos learned to speak with animals. While this was the only spell Cosmos knew for at least a decade or two, they did prove that Cosmos could properly learn spells, it was just difficult for them.
Cosmos eventually left Celestica, wanting to explore Cybertron for themselves (and also wanting to explore every type of ruin the continent had to offer). They left Celestica around 14 years ago, traveling from city-state to city-state all across the continent before eventually stopping in Cogwheel Village, a small town in the Pious Pools, where they've lived for the past five years.
Cosmos' travel path across Cybertron:
Celestica > Rodion > Tesarus > Vos > Tarn > Nova Cronum > Polyhex > Esserlon > Petrex > Triax > Nyon > Tyger Pax > Altihex > Metroplex > Tetrahex > Pious Pools

Soundwave
Soundwave is a powerful druid and also the oldest living being on Cybertron, old enough that he was an active participant during the War. He's grown tired of fighting and dungeoneering and has long since retired the "Adventurer" title in favour of living peacefully in Cogwheel and taking care of orphaned children he's adopted. Cosmos met him late one night while they were investigating some of the ruins around Cogwheel. Soundwave approached them from behind and ended up accidentally scaring them into a really old net trap. That was around 5 years ago, now they're happily engaged with plans to get officially married once they have enough extra money saved up. This is part of the reason why Cosmos is adventuring so much.
Their Siblings
Cosmos grew up with 3 basically-siblings. Lug, Tailgate, and Rewind. The 4 of them are very close in age (Lug being a little older, Rewind being the same age, and Tailgate being a little younger than Cosmos respectively), and were basically inseparable while growing up. Cosmos likes to think they're still very close with eachother to this day, even though they haven't seen Tailgate or Rewind in a few years. They all, of course, had varying interests while growing up, but they always supported eachother in it nonetheless. All of them would occasionally collect or buy small things that pertained to one of the others interests (giving Lug geodes found in the river, buying Rewind a new sketchbook, dragging Cosmos outside when there was a meteor shower outside, etc.). However, one thing they all were always interested in were ruins and while they technically had different reasons for liking ruins, they'd always go out towards and explore any ruins they could find around Celestica. While they never got into mischief, they absolutely got into places they shouldn't have been just because the four of them were curious as all hell and small enough to fit.
Also, as a teenager, they ended up gaining Riptide as a 4th sibling as well because their parents ended up pseudo-adopting the triton.
The Cassettes
After 5 years, Cosmos absolutely considers the cassettes their kids and as much of family as anyone else they're related to. They try to spend lots of time with each of them, even if some of them don't like them as much as the others do. They actually make an effort to spend a little more time with the ones who don't like them as much. They also try to be the kind of guardian that never says 'No' without a good reason. They try to answer every question and give a good response to anything the cassettes ask them, no matter what. They want the cassettes to know that no question or request is stupid and that they can come to them with anything.
The Party
While there are some members of the party that Cosmos doesn't feel like they know all that well, they consider themselves friends with Riptide, Saber, Mirage, Drift, Arcee, and Perceptor. Some of them (like Riptide and Saber) they've known for ages, but mostly, friendships have been formed because of clearing out dungeons together or even hanging out outside of dungeon crawling.
- They're chronically bad at conversations. Often, they'll stutter or say something they end up immediately regretting if they aren't confident in how a conversation is going.
- They're not like a gourmet chef or anything, but they can cook reasonably well.
- Bad Puns. Lots of them.
