He is Very out of shape. Has a pollen and wasp/bee allergy. Carries an eppi pen. Also needs an inhaler.

Fashion

Near always wearing a suit or some kind of dress shirt/dress pants. He's very particular about what he wears, and is a massive prude. He has an obsession with the color green. He also likes purpple, its a nice complementry color (to him).

Gun

He carries a gun. He doesn't //like// guns but hes paranoid. No one he knows think he should have one, clearly he is not listening.

Cathrine

Has a sphinx cat named Cathrine, she's deaf. He often dresses her up in little knitted sweat shirts.

Voice

Has a very loud voice.

Fears

Not actually scared of much, Vern's not a Brave person but generally just doesn't care. He's genuinely afraid of isolation/rejection/pain, and has a mild fear of deep water (he can swim but not well). He handles stress semi-well when he's prepared.

Vern's a mature, hardworking man with a explosive temper. You don't need to work very hard to get him so angry he's red in the face, the guy can hardly handle being teased. Despite the poor handle on his temper, he is a bit of a control freak. He's extremely well organized, smart, and efficient- making him an amazing employee. Vern is very respected in his work place and gets very defensive if that reputation is threatened.

Although he has his life perfectly structured and he's doing the job he's always aimed for, Vern is extremely prone to depression and needs to have his emotions handled carefully. He isn't nearly as fragile as he was when he was young, but Vern's dreadfully cynically and tends to get stuck in his own head when somethings upset him.

Vern was taken from an abusive household when he was 5 and was fortunate enough to be adopted by a lesbian couple (Lola and Elinor) rather quickly. His upbringing was overall very normal family wise, however he was relentlessly bullied in school and didn't know many other kids. He attempted suicide at 15 and survived, however to this day he's not sure if he jumped or was pushed? It's all a blur.

After graduating he went to school for journalism. He graduated at 24 and is currently working as a journalist and news reporter for a small local news station. A close family friend, Adrien, works as his intern and he often helps her with her own journalism projects.
