The Basics

P1: Give your lion a basic personality. 150 word minimum.
At first glance Corran appears to be a solitary male who would rather be alone. As a hunter he commonly catches prey on his own, finding greater joy in the sounds of nature rather than socialising with the other hunters. However, he isn’t completely anti-social. He doesn’t mind talking to others, some even say how great of a listener he is. Often filled with great advice most of the pride members are not afraid to ask him for help.

Any job Corran is tasked with he will put his full effort into. Born a hard worker Corren tries exceptionally hard in everything does. This is in exchange for his health. It is not uncommon for Corran to become weak or faint under the harsh rays due to his refusal to take a rest. He believes taking a break is for the weak, unfortunately something his father drilled into him. The healers often keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn’t work himself to exhaustion.

P3: Write your lion’s backstory. 200 word minimum.
Corran was born in an arranged pairing. His old pride had a very traditional mindset, it was very patriarchal where the males were seen as above the females in all aspects. The males would hunt for the pride and get first pickings while the females would get whatever was left. There was no love in the pride, pairs would be arranged, often by the fathers, to produce the best genetics. Any lions showing weakness would be outcasted with the promise of death if they tried to return.

Corran’s mother was a young lioness just of age. She was paired with an older male who was one of the best hunters. He was hoping Corran would age up to be a great hunter as he was. This led to Corran having a harder childhood than his siblings. His father would work him three times as hard, not letting him stop training. If he started to slack his father would tell him he was weak and would be expelled. One of his biggest fears Corran continued doing what he was told, no matter how much pain he was in.

Upon reaching adulthood Corran was one of the strongest hunters in the pride. However, he didn’t feel any achievement and instead started to hate himself. The final straw was when he was paired to a fellow lioness by his father. He didn’t like the female and certainly didn’t want to mate with her. The night before their mating ceremony he ran away, he didn’t know where, but he didn’t care. He knew he was strong enough to survive on his own if he had to. Days later he was found by EchoLake scouts where he joined the pride. He has proved a valuable hunter and now loves his role. Even though he still holds some of the beliefs his father had he is trying to get better mentally.

Corran is extremely competitive however he does a good job of hiding it. Among his pride members he always strives to be the strongest hunter. He believes friendly competition is the best way to challenge yourself and have fun doing it. With his own goals he is fiercely competitive. He often pushes himself too much to break his own records.
