Bethel

Bethel was very young when he was orphaned by his family. At around 10 years old he found himself on the street. It wasn't long before he was "taken in" by child services and forced into an orphanage. He thought it was cool at first that there was a place that he could live with other kids like him, kids that don't know their family/don't really have a family. He thought that he could make a home at the orphanage, but the adults who ran it only cared about how fast they could get the kids adopted. It might've been a noble cause at first, but it just felt very superficial to Bethel as he bounced from foster house to foster house only to land back in the orphanage. 

After all the carting around, he decided he was sick of it and ran away. He had just turned 15 at the time and was looking for a new place to live and work. He was taken in by a homeless community in a poor part of town. He lived in the community for two years before he decided it would be best to move into a shelter. A lot of places of work required a permanent residence, and at least a shelter might provide that. Bethel moved into the shelter last year and has been searching for a job ever since, but his irregular behavior gets him turned away from a lot of places.

He doesn't like to admit it, but Bethel needs someone to 'take care' of him. And by 'take care', I mean stabalize. He needs something concrete in his life to realize that he actually has to put work into a goal to achieve it.
