Penduline

Tiefling Swashbuckler. One of seven siblings, sold off to passing caravan because her family couldn’t afford to feed so many. Got passed around from group to group as unskilled labor for a while, and got pretty good at convincing people she could be useful, basically job interviews, as a result. Eventually she found herself on a ship, learning to sail, and found she really liked it. She was good at it, nimble, and her tail aided her balance in stormy waters. The guild she was working with at the time noticed how quickly she learned and how well she worked, and took her on as a permanent apprentice. Acquired the name Penduline, because she could usually be found hanging around the rigging, and can no longer sleep unless she’s hanging in a hammock. Goes by Pen. She much prefers it to her given name, which no one ever called her anyway, after she left home.
