The second of five children to emperor ______. Brother to Sulfur, aunt to Citron (Citrine) and tbn.
After first's death, Amber was intended to be the heir of the land, however as her bethrothed was an only child and devoted to his people, her desire to remain were overlooked as she had three other remaining siblings. She is quick to blame Sulfur, third for her brother's death as he's always wanted to be more. When fifth is killed, she beleives her suspisions are confirmed. Her bethrothed is concerned by this and his concern of her own family and clan is what draws them together.
She is futher insulted with the arival of his bastard son and despite her pleas to return or have fouth lead instead when she does return for a visit, her pleas are ignored. Their father places Sulfur on the throne and things only seem to become worse for her homeland. She and fourth remain close and she is pleased that he is serving as a dignitary at least. And even more so when he and a close frind anounce they are dating and even more so become a couple and expecting. She dotes on their child Citron however, in her own relationship children never come.
This does provide some strain among her new land but, he was late and and only child and both figure they'll have time. She returns with her husband to meet Sulfur's official children. She disagrees with many of his actions especially as his bastard is near him let alone training as an ambassador. With Sulfur's queen consort falling ill and the loss of her nephews, her brother pleads that Citrine/Citron returns home with her till he can figure out what happened. He is further concerned that she is presenting with the favored signs and fears for her own sake.
Fouth is later found buthered and her freind is devastated loosing herself in greif and going on a pilgrimage. Citron, a teen pleads to return and figure out what happened, While Ember is apprehensive she does give niece her suport, something she wished she had. Citron cares and wants to make a difference.
Her confirmations are realized later as _______'s crimes are discovered. With her husbands suport she returns attempts to take charge and the failing empire is plunged into a power struggle.
